Brad mate... please... I'm begging. Just slow down.

Yep, slow down pal.
The problem with the JLT...the masses jump on the once PoDs that perform well.

Brad's JLT performances don't matter IMO, but him getting through the games does.

And that’s why people suffer every year because low and behold the likes of b.crouch, Libba, Roberton, smith are going full pelt because they are proving their worth to coaches and themselves. Real season comes around and they fall back in the pecking order or other teams put work into them if they are genuinely that good. No Taggers in pre season lads

The guys you have highlighted have form in the real deal, Brad Crouch caned it in finals, scores that don't count towards SC averages. Roberton & Smith don't need to prove a thing, they are best 22, if anything they are consolidating SC friendly roles. They are also cheap as chips.

Not saying the players mentioned won’t be regular contributors for their sides. Point I am making is I am banking on ave around the 80 mark, which definitely makes you a decent afl footballer but not a great fantasy pick, even when cheap/discounted

Seems you have a lot of confidence in the defensive rookies, I'm sceptical, this year might cause a few headaches for those going light.

Gone with crouch in mids and smith in defence also tossing up miles/libba in mids as well

Brad Crouch certainly looking good

I've never questioned his ability to score and I wouldn't be surprised to see him go 105ish, but I just can't pick him due to injury risk

Hopefully it doesn't burn me too much, but at worse I missed out on a 100k saving (over Sloane/Zorko) so I can live with that

I got absolutely hammered by injuries last year, so I guess that still burns, which is why Greene is the only risky guy I want to start. Obviously injuries can happen to anyone, but I want to avoid the guys with history of nagging/repetitive injuries

No doubt the temptation for Brad is there,  but keep in mind it was Sloane Matt and Brad vs basically Coniglio last night. They ran around doing whateva they wanted

James Worpel anyone? 24 touches 4 marks, 3 tackles, 13 contested and 9 clearances in just 60% TOG. Probably cant go him and Toby though.

Was in the very first team I made but priced too awkward imo

Not for me, much better mid-priced options compared to a guy who's played 9 games in his entire career. At 400k he almost needs to be a keeper, and guys like Rocky for 10k more or BCrouch for 20k more have a much much larger chance of averaging 100+ than Worpel.

Oh my bad!  ::)
I'd still prefer Greene over him though.

I'm still not sold on Greene. Only 32% game time is a bit of a worry when he has had an interrupted pre-season. I wanted to see him get through a full game (or close to it). Granted, he scored well in the time he played, but he needs to be a keeper at his price, and I could definitely see him starting the year off quite slow. If Worp goes 90+ then you'd take that as a win. Definitely has the potential to do so after watching him in the VFL most of last year, before he got called up to the seniors. Reckon I'd slightly prefer him to Greene at this point in time.

Nic Newman will be a top 6 defender come seasons end.
Probably willing to have a bit of that action MS.   If he has a good year might break top 10 in my opinion
