Hanners had a little hammy scare so need to keep an eye on that. Scan came back ok apparently
That just about puts a line through him for me he needed to have no hiccups till the season starts to be considered.

Birchall suffered another setback and had another operation

205k is so cheap, but this guy is absolutely cooked

Really throws a spanner in the works now trying to rejig the structure

Birchall is done lol

Even though floating cartilage isn’t a huge issue, 5 games in 2 years and repeated setbacks is the clear issue

Risk with 3 rookies to play each week so have restructured my team with Roberton as D4 hoping he can get back to 2017 form.

Stick a fork in Birchall. Roberton could be a goer. Unchartered territory with him.... if he's got the all clear and a decent pre season behind him he's probably a must have. If he's named R1 with all things looking positive he will be in my team.

no change needed as was not considered.

Has anyone given thought to Callum Mills at 428k?

It's no surprise that the Sydney midfield is needing to evolve now - so is Mills a chance to spend more time there and push 90+?

Will definitely spend more time in there, Tom Harley has mentioned it a few times. Zak Jones is another he's linked to more time in there

I thought Greene was injured and wasn't even gonna start training till like feb? Or has that changed?

This was said two weeks ago

"Josh Kelly is easing back into training after a meniscus tear and hip issues during the season, while Greene’s surgery after only nine games last year puts him out until post-Christmas."

Found this too

"The Giants confirmed in a statement that surgery was now required because the injury “had failed to improve at the rate expected”.

Giants’ fitness boss David Joyce said: “It’s unfortunate that Toby has suffered this setback but by making this decision now, we don’t run the risk of him missing any games.”

“No doubt once the surgery has been completed, Toby will vigorously attack his rehab.”"

Found this about Joe D too, for those considering him

"In less than ideal news, Joe Daniher (osteitis pubis) is still struggling for full fitness."

That's turned me off Greene big time - not getting burnt by guys with interrupted preseasons

Sounds like a trap. I get guys like that every year and always regret it. He's injury prone as it is, let alone having missed most of the pre season. Pass on Green and Joe for me unless they are in full training when they come back from Christmas and have no further interruptions
Definitely won't be the case for Joe, I'd say he's about a 0% chance of playing Round 1 at the moment. He still was not running freely and uninhibited before the Christmas break and wasn't doing a whole lot of kicking either. Club's obvious priority is not letting his career become a write-off like Darcy's

Peter

So, two down as only eight weeks to go

Anyone know how Liam Picken is tracking?

Anyone know how Liam Picken is tracking?

"The Dogs received a pre-season boost when Picken returned to the training track in November.

The club is taking a cautious approach so don’t pencil him in for Round 1 yet, but if he can get back to the form that saw him average 99 points a game in 2015 and 86 in the Dogs’ premiership year, he’ll be a great buy at that price."

Thanks RD.  He still maybe a cheaper option if Greene is having problems.

Does anyone know enough about the Gold Coast Suns to know if P Hanley is training with the group? His price is tempting, if you think all the way back to his 2012/13/14 form and forget about the last four years  ;D
