"GEELONG small forward Lincoln McCarthy has informed the Cats of his desire to be traded to Brisbane.

McCarthy, 24, communicated his wish to the Cats hierarchy on Friday, knocking back an offer to continue his career at GMHBA Stadium in pursuit of a fresh start at the Lions.

AFL.com.au understands McCarthy is hopeful of playing alongside close friend and junior teammate Lachie Neale next season, with the Docker contemplating a multi-million dollar move."

Quote“Brad Crouch is another name that keeps coming up in conversation,” Edmund told SEN Breakfast.

“The Adelaide midfielder, injury riddled it must be said, hasn’t played at all this year, but whispers around him perhaps being on the move this off-season as well.

“I’ve heard the Tigers might have an interest for Brad Crouch.”

Quote“Gold Coast’s Jack Martin is a whisper that won’t go away,” Edmund told SEN Breakfast.

“Essendon’s interest has been reported, that remains solid. That footy club has a real interest in Jack Martin.

“The latest whisper is he requested a trade out of his exit interview Jack Martin, now I can’t seem to substantiate as yet, but the jungle drums are well and truly beating.

“He’s contracted for next year too.”

Brayden Preuss is looking more and more likely to join the dees.

Wouldn't that be the place you would least want to go if you were looking for more oppurtunities?

Doesn't seem to make sense does it? Starved for opportunities behind the previous best ruckman in the comp, to move to a team with the new best ruckman in the comp ???

Freo give a first round pick, potentially 2 if Neale goes to Brisbane, for Hogan, which in turn is used by Melbourne to get Stephen May from the Suns whom they have met with according to a Fox Sports article I read this morning.

Weideman and McDonald were really good forward in the finals so they could cope without Hogan and a May/Lever/Omac defensive group would be very strong.

Speaking about the Gold Coast and their mass exodus of talented players Essendon have I am lead to believe met with Jack Martin and are keen on him. Would have to give up a lot to get him.

Corey Ellis according to The Age to leave Richmond and head to the Suns.

How are the Suns going to make their minimum player payments? And why arent they chasing players with big money deals?

By paying their young kids more than they're worth (which they have already done)

They actually have salary cap pressure for overpaying players to keep them and luring the likes of Weller.
