Surprised me, but seems legit now based on McClure also now mentioning him

Why the hell would Geelong need Steven? They need everything else except mids

Even without Kelly they still bat deep in the mids, and Dahl can certainly run through there too

As for how they pay them all LF, I wouldn't be surprised if guys like Menegola, Scooter, and their entire forward line besides Hawkins, are all on much less than you'd think

Even the likes of Kelly, Stewart etc wouldn't be on much

As much as he wants to stay in the middle, GAJ is 35 next year so you'd think he'll get a tap on the shoulder to spend more time fwd
Menegola plays a half fwd role
Scooter rarely plays

Dahl can splay stints in there, but he's more the fwd they're lacking
Parfitt plays fwd/mid
Danger has spent more time fwd this year because they don't have enough goal scoring options

Then that leaves

Jelwood, Duncan, Kelly


Even with the guys that rotate through mid/fwd, there's definitely room for another decent mid

He’s St.Kilda’s best player, in a team full of C graders, contracted till end of 2020.
Would take more than they could afford to offer.

The winning formula in AFL ATM is pressure and tackling especially when the ball is in your FWD line so that makes Gaz just about obsolete Geelong has all the players they need  now they just need Scott to get his head out of the clouds and move with the times  ;)

A few players mentioned in the Rohan thread on afl website but this bit has me amazed.

"While Sydney will meet with midfielder Dan Hannebery in coming days to discuss his future as he contemplates an offer from St Kilda, Rohan will sit down with Swans officials next week."

I cannot for the life of me work out why we'd want him. He seriously looks washed up. We need to look to youth not get another club's hand me downs on their way out. St.Kilda has no idea atm. Laughing stock.
