Dusty for me is the biggest wildcard. He burnt a lot of people last year. Will he return to super premo?

Matt Crouch also, can he return to the super consistent 115+

Add Merrett too this list.

Dusty, Merret and Matt Crouch could all be top 10 mids this year but it would be a pretty big risk to start all 3 of them.

Rory Sloane is the one I'm looking to start at the moment

524k for a guy who could go 110+ and has a massive ceiling. With a lot of expensive starters on other lines I can't start all of Titch, Cripps, Oliver, Fyfe/Kelly etc so I reckon Sloane + 125k instead of Cripps as an example is worth it, and look to get these more expensive guys later once they hopefully drop in price

Dusty, Crouch and Bont all very tempting too

Money Shot

Bont, Martin, Merret, M. Crouch and Zerett as the starting 5 mids :o

Not sure how you can fit both Merret and Zerret in ;)

Will find a way to break a rib or knock himself out every year

Other than this year, he has played 22,21,16,22,21,21 games in the last 6 years prior - that''s pretty damn durable

I know he went back to training a week or two early but I'm also still nervous about his foot. That's normally a real long term injury that takes years to fully recover from it you do at all. May not hurt his SC game toooooo much but may decrease his outside game which probably limits his ceiling

While i think all these guys are good value starting with all 5 i think isnt ideal given how hard it will be to get guys like Titch and macrae in later on

Sloane is very susceptible to a tag, it absolutely destroys his output. He's got the two best taggers in Hewett and Jacobs in the first 4 rounds.
Matt Crouch killed me this year, bought him in cheap and he barely went up in value until a small late run of decent scores. He is much more a DT player, has to get 35-40 touches to crack 100. He did finish top 10 in 2017, is that his only premo year tho? Was that helped by Crows being a much better team that year?
Bont is frustrating for SC, very efficient but doesn't get enough of the pill to be elite. Spends too much time fwd as the Dogs are much lacking in that area. Having Macrae, Hunter, Dunkley, Libba, McLean, Daniel, Jong mean they can afford to have Bont fwd more.
Dusty and Zerrett are the two I'm looking at.
I'm sure Dusty was playing hurt a lot in the middle of the season. He only averaged 2 tackles a game which is half his usual output. Take that back up to 4 a game and that alone should be enough for 110-115.
Plus with Lynch fwd I think he will be able to play more mid.
Merrett is learning to deal with the tag better and Shiel coming in should only help this, is underpriced due to injury score of 17.

All good points mate

I really want to make a point to pick players who have a proven record in durability, so like yourself Dusty is someone I am likely to start at his price - I reckon he can bounce back to 110+ and rarely misses games

At this stage I've got two groups of mids

$$$ - Titch, Macrae, Cripps, Oliver, Fyfe, Kelly, Neale
$$ - Bont, Dusty, Crouch, Zerrett, Sloane

Titch is locked, and I think I will start 2 more from group 1 and 1 from group 2, and Dusty is the current choice
