Hibberd went last week for Crisp, wish I'd held now with Kelly and Walters injured, no trades and only Ahern as cover, who will probably get dropped tomorrow.

Worst. season. ever.

Laird, Simpson, Keefe
Titch Cripps, Danger
Gawn Goldstien, Olango
D Smith, T McLean
11 with two non players.

Goosey

Laird, Savage - L.Keeffe
Mitchell, D.Martin, Coniglio
Gawn, Goldy - Olango
D.Smith, Caddy

Doesn't make for good reading, and highlights why I ran out of trades too early and have plummeted in the rankings over the last few weeks :(

Shows how important the starting team is. You miss one or two rookies, choose an underperforming premo and go for a few mid pricers who flunk you've flowered your season.

interesting read,  between 7-11 prems for most of us.    given we start with 14 prems approx, shows how important getting that first team right plus we are going to have to deal with 4-7 trades from our starting teams and need to develop backup plans.   so why overpay for superprems.   look at danger and dusty this year both were way overs.  fyfe the year before.
also think having keefe was a wasted opportunity.   less cash generation and coverage and there are normally non playing rookies or injured prems for loopholes.

I agree with the Keefe call. As you stated, not starting with him helped me with cash generation I reckon. Starting with Josh Kelly & Matt Crouch hurt my start. I didn't grab Billings which helped too. Although I did start with Hibbo, there's another mistake.

Always interesting looking back on this, see where it all went wrong!

For me:

DEF: Laird
MID: Mitchell, Dusty
RUCK: Gawn, Goldstein
FWD: Smith, Walters

I wonder whether majority of the teams at the top aren't so different now than how they started? Nailing those starting premiums is so important..

10 and a loop for me!

Traded hard early and it got me to the top, but lack of trades now has left me clinging to the leaders and hoping to stay top 10.

Was reasonably loose with my trades this year such as trading Goldy out for Grundy very early on, which has helped my ranking (113) but ran out of trades a couple of weeks ago

Great thread! Wow, my starting team sucked!!
