Showdown 45 gives Adelaide the chance to put a dent in Port Adelaide's finals chances while also keeping alive its extremely slim top-eight aspirations. The Crows (12th, 9-9) must win their remaining four games and hope other results go their way. It's probably a bridge too far, but they have shown enough improvement on the back of key personnel returning in the past month that they will be a challenge for whomever they face. The Power (4th, 12-8) have it all to play for in their remaining four games. They can clinch a top-two berth and a home qualifying final, or they could slide out of the finals equation altogether. A six-day turnaround from the chilly conditions in Ballarat isn't ideal and could take a toll late in the game. Given the Power face West Coast, Collingwood and Essendon in the run home, this is a game they simply must win.

And what would your narrative have been if Adelaide lost? That we’re shower? Or would you have pointed out the 8 more scoring shots we had, not including multiple out on the full or not making the distance? Second week in a row we didn’t make the most of our opportunities but at least we got the W this week. Umpiring was actually okay imo too.

I seriously hope that the TV guy had something else on his screen because I have no idea how he came to that conclusion off that replay, surely you ask for another angle?? It might just be me looking for it but looking at the ball before and after it passes the post it seems like it's changes the way it spins.

Anyway, I'm more annoyed at Ollie Wines' shower show in front of goal which changed the momentum. That's something that can be fixed moving forward, the score review system is not able to be fixed.

It looking like the trajectory of the ball changed too, I'm very surprised it didn't get overturned.

That said, I can stomach an Umpire's Call (not sure if it was) if it means it doesn't get overturned wrongfully.

You would hope so, but that vision has never come to light after the fact to defend a bad decision.
