Oops, forgot to put this one up last night!

Go Tiges!

Trindacut

Rhys Stanley was a late out for Jackson Thurlow.

Nothing like a bit of trash talk from a sore loser. Thought I'd have a look at Hawthorn during their '13 - '15 threepeat.

Hawks 2013:
Eight wins by less than 20 points, 3 losses (two to Geelong and one to Richmond by 44 points)

Hawks 2014:
Five wins by less than 20 points
Five losses (all under 20 points)

Hawks 2015:
Three wins by less than 20 points
Seven losses, 5 of those less than 20 points

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Richmond 2018: (so far)
Four wins by less than 20 points
Four losses, two by less than 20 points.

To play:
GCS
Essendon
Western Bulldogs

I'd hope to play Geelong in the finals but it looks like after this week they won't even be in the eight. Maybe next year cats.

How is that trash talk from a sore loser? He basically said you're the best side at the moment, but you can be beaten.

"When you talk about the juggernauts of the competition of years gone by you were just never in the game against them. I don't see that (with Richmond, but) I don't want to overstate it."

Ok, so going through the current top 8:
Eagles beat you comfortably
Pies copped injuries both times where you ran away with it in the last quarter, were right in it both times up until 3QT
Port beat you
GWS beat you
Dees you smashed
Hawks you just beat
Cats you beat by 3 points and Ablett really should have kicked that goal

So what part of what he said are you disagreeing with?

I don't disagree with the fact that anyone can win it, but it's a bit ordinary for an opportunity coach to hang shower in a post match presser like that.

Ordinary comments from an ordinary coach. You put that much talent under Bolton at the Blues and they wouldn't have lost a game.

He drew comparisons to juggernaut sides in recent memory, but they lost games like the Tiges have this year. And lesser sides were never really in it, like the Tiges this year too.

If you want examples of underestimating the Tiges just look back to September last year.

Did you watch the press conference, or just picking and choosing certain quotes because you feel like it?

"I don't mean to be jumping on the front foot saying they're not that good. They've won 19 at the MCG in a row, they are good. Watching the game last week I thought Collingwood were on top of them for big parts of the game. When you talk about the juggernauts of the competition of years gone by, you're just never in the game against them. I don't see that. I don't want to overstate it, but we went down by less than a kick tonight, and we think we can play better. Now they'll say they can play better as well and all that, but it's a pretty tight comp. Everyone understands it's tight in the middle, I think it's pretty tight at the top too."

And that was answering a question regarding if people are pumping up the Tigers too much.

So he is saying you guys are a good team, but you can clearly be beaten, and you're not in the same league as Lions, Cats, Hawks were in their prime (yet).

Personally, I don't have any issue with what he said. Should he have said you guys are way too good and he doesn't think anyone can beat you and just admit defeat?

I think that it was an ordinary thing to say, but keep replying and and I'll keep repeating myself if you like.

We had five premiership players out last night, the majority from the midfield, and their midfield dominated. We still won.

We need to back this solid season performance with at least a premiership appearance before you can talk about a 'dominant era', but it's on the cards at least. Ask the eight clubs we flogged by 40+ points if they think people are pumping the Tiges up too much. What did you think earlier this year when we embarrassed the Lions? Were we overrated then when we kept your club to it's lowest score in it's history?

Cats were also missing a few players, and odds are teams will be missing players throughout all of finals as well. Who cares, it's a moot point.

Teams you've beaten by 40+:
Lions (16th)
Dees
Pies (3 injuries and a late out, plus a 4 day break after anzac day)
Freo (13th)
Bombers (11th)
Crows (12th)
Saints (15th)

So you smashed the Dees really of the teams that actually matter right now, because you wouldn't have beaten the Pies by that much if they had a full bench (was 11pts at 3QT). And you'd be expected to beat all those teams outside the 8 fairly comfortably when you're the top team.

I couldn't give two showers and a pull of a dog's dick how much you beat us by, it's irrelevant to the discussion. The point is, you are not 100% guaranteed to win the GF, which is what Scott is saying. I don't understand how you are not getting this. You borderline need to be watered twice a week I swear.

I'm not saying I disagree with everything he said, I'm saying the comments are ordinary from an oppo coach after a loss.

So you think it's ordinary for a coach to think that his team can win the premiership? And to say that other teams think that they can win the premiership? Should everybody just forfeit the season now and give you the flag?

I think it's ordinary for an opposition coach to make those comments about the other team in the post match presser of a losing game.

You can comment all you like about your own teams chances of winning the flag, no worries. Why did he have to say that a lot would have to go right for the Tiges to do it again this year? Because he's a flog who likes the sound of his own voice too much.

We're beatable? Of course we are. Four teams have done it this year. Geelong wasn't one of them, despite two chances.

It's tight at the top? Hell yeah it is, Tiges, WCE and Pies will need to be at the top of their game in September to win the flag.

It's an ordinary comment from an oppo coach after losing the game. He immediately after losing to us, said that we're beatable and a lot has to go right for us to win the flag.

Are there any more words that you want to shove down my throat? Do  need to repeat my point of view another time in the hopes that you finally comprehend them?

Btw, Raynar sucks and should get dropped.

GoLions

He was asked a question in his post match press conference and he answered it. Should he have waited until Wednesday to respond?

A lot has to go right for any team to win the flag. Be it Richmond, Geelong, Eagles, Pies, GWS, whoever. That's just common sense.

And you originally said it was trash talk from a sore loser. It was a perfectly reasonable response to a question in a presser. You just sound like a whinging 7 year old who didn't get ice cream for dessert.
