My Monday trade sees me getting Whitfield in for Christensen, but all hell could break loose come Thursday.

Well, shockingly, nothing crazy happened so my Monday trade is a go!

E.Curnow to Macrae
Sier to Shuey

Will move Ahern to the pine and give him one more week to generate some cash, and then trade him to Freeman.
Would it be crazy to stick to this plan and then next week do
Ahern to Freeman
Shuey/Gibbs to Gaff/Oliver?

Basically this week is a toss up of Shuey vs Curnow
Do you mean you would have to choose between Shuey and Curnow to start on the field? If that’s the case I would think about downgrading this week instead of Shuey and play Curnow (or even Ahern if that works?) Then could you double upgrade next week?

Ringo

O'Riordan to Johnson and Stef Martin to Grundy.  Rather than Martin should I do Heeney to Tomahawk

I feel like getting Tomahawk now is chasing points a bit

I mean I could dump curnow for macrae this week and also up sier to shuey. Next week I’ll be able to up Shuey or Gibbs to someone better. Shuey and Ahern have low BEs so will also generate some more money to play with.

So, I checked out my cash league opponent for the first week of finals and our differences are as follows (before trades):

ME            HIM

Crisp         Lloyd
Steven      Zorko
Crouch      Gibbs
Gaff          Kelly(GWS)
Curnow     O'Meara
Heeney     Dangerfield
Hogan       Ahern

Hopefully Murray gets dropped again so Crisp can return to good scores. Hogan > Dangerfield seems the obvious move given Hogan has scored 58 & 64 the past 2 weeks. However he did average 97 the 3 weeks before that, tonned up against GC earlier in the season and should do well without May. He was also hobbling last week which hampered his score. Dangerfield himself only scored in the 60s last week as well.

Am I kidding myself about Hogan just because I really want to go Curnow > Macrae? Is Hogan to Dangerfield the right move? What about getting creative with someone like Hawkins or Dunkley instead who have both average 105+ over the last 5 games?
id keep off Hawkins, possible chance of wet weather tonight and he has been kicking a fair few goals

So are you able to do Hogan to Danger, Curnow to Macrae? That seems a pretty safe option to me, although Hogan could go big against the struggling GC. Especially the way Melbourne like to destroy teams this year.

Can only do 1 "upgrade" this week, so it's either Curnow to Macrae or Hogan to Danger. Hogan has the opportunity to go better with no May or Thompson, but obviously as a key forward is up and down. I don't think Curnow has any big scores left in him, but Macrae could also get tagged by Steele.

I'm going to be agonising over this until lockout I reckon haha

Edit: Maybe I go Curnow to Danger this week, with a view of moving him forward next week?
