It was careless, it was a legitimate tackle and Robbie Gray dropped the ball during the tackle.  If Robbie still had the ball we would be saying that it's unfortunate.

So tackling a guy with the ball is a shower tackle?  The fact that Gray dropped the ball in the middle of the tackle means nothing to you.  Gray had a free arm to protect himself and didnt.

I believe he will be suspended because there is precedence but people suggesting he get 3-4 is crazy.  1, maybe 2 is what I think

Gray tried to handball it out, dropped it sure. He knew he dropped it and stopped playing, why would you expect to be slammed into the ground like that after you've gotten rid (slash dropped) the ball?

The fact that he dropped the ball what's that got to do with it? It was paid htb you hear the first whistle go before Gray is slammed into the turf, then umpire corrects himself.


It should 100% be graded as intentional with the 2 motions, so 3+ weeks is right.

The dumping motion of the tackle is what will get Nyhuis suspended for probably 2-3 weeks. He turned Gray to such a degree that he dumped him on his head, it's not Gray's responsibility to use his free arm to protect his head, that is the responsibility of the tackler.

Probably a price on his head with all those guys in the Top 10 having no trades to get rid of Gray when he misses weeks because of the concussion.  :P
