A lot is being said elsewhere about our loss to Brissie on the weekend, but I think that a lot of those moaning just don't understand footy very much.Where were all the critics before we lost on Sunday.Even Fanta Pants Hardie had a crack.
While I was very disappointed with the result and how we played, I think that the loss should be taked for  missed chance to get another four points.
Circumstances forced up to change how we structured up at the first bounce. We , I believe any way, planning to play two big forwards,Cox and Apeness. We lost Sandilands minutes before the game.We brought in anothe r basicaly small forward to play up fron in Nyhuis.Apeness had to ruck for 99% of the game against a tried and tested ruckman in Martin.Apeness at best is a fill in ruckman. He was pantsed by Martin for sure but worked his butt off.
Any one who thinks that Martin would have had that sort of domination over Sandilands has rocks in their head. Sandi would have pantsed Martin as Martin did to Apeness.
Losing Sandi DID make a huge difference for sure.
But in saying what I have, full credit to Brissie. They were a much more dedicated out fit and completely out played us.Their form during the season has not been as bad as some are suggesting. They have lost close games and have been crippled by injury.
Full credit to them.

You're bad and you should feel bad.

There were no other options to bring in a ruck as Jones and Darcy both played for Peel the day before.

Apeness is a Forward / Back Up Ruck, but credit to him for trying his butt off all game.  Langdon was another that gave good effort all game.

But.... there were lots of passengers on the weekend.  It could be down to a bad preparation after the bye, but we will find out this weekend if that is true or not.
