I'm copping a donut with Heeney and Battle out

Might have to downgrade Fyfe to a fwd, swing Heeney to mid bench and field Holman this week

Certainly not ideal as it means I'll essentially have a Forward at M8 but with only 2 trades left I really don't want to use them both and then be done for the year

Either way this year probably isn't going to end well lol
Personally I would rather grab Danger & cop the donut.

I have 2 trades left, with Heeney and Fyfe out

My bench is

Ridley and Redman
Holman, Barry and Mutch
Battle and Keeffe

I could just trade Fyfe to Danger, hold my last trade and cop the donut or I could trade Fyfe to Billings via Heeney to mids and then Ridley to Hurley

With DPP I can swing Sicily forward and field Hurley this week, but although I'll have no trades left I will have mid/fwd DPP and Def/fwd DPP and when Heeney returns the following week he remains in the mids for the rest of the year, with Holman as cover and continued flexibility with 7 defenders (Sicily forward but can go back if need be)

Hate that I'd be out of trades, and no ruck cover but I would have cover on all other lines which I think is probably the best use of my final trades as opposed to just being left with one trade and a donut

Thoughts?

As you said RD, if a ruck went down, the other line coverage won't help. I'd keep 1 trade

Pick the option you personally think is the best, then do the opposite.....only because your choices this year have been cursed  :P

Obviously donuts are not good BUT my thoughts are at this time next week, tho you may have some decent cover, you will have no trades no Danger & Heeney stuck in the mids. I would still rather cop the one week donut, hope Danger goes 120+ from here on in & save that one last trade for the next premo who goes down with an LTI.

RaisyDaisy

In that scenario Hurley essentially becomes my DEF and FWD cover, whilst Holman covers the mids but I also have the option to swing MID/FWD around and basically use Hurley over Holman there too, so cover wise I really like it and think it's always good to have good cover in place when you've run out of trades

Exposed in the rucks, but sometimes I guess you just have to make a calculated risk

Fyfe to Danger maintains the premo strength in the mids, but with 1 trade left and poor cover on all lines I'm basically saying that last trade is for another injury that occurs and I'm going with no cover for the rest of the year

Third option is Fyfe out, Heeney to mids permantly and FWD in. Still left with one trade, but Holman comes on field this week so avoid the donut. Beyond this week though it's similar to second option in that poor cover on all lines with 1 trade left for another injury

Certainly got a few things to think about

Gigantor

Fyfe>Heppell
Spargo>Billings

2 trades left

Might reconsider if Ahern keeps his spot as the only other cover I have for Heeney is Ballard  ::)

Fyfe to...
Kelly - still not sure on whether he'll last the year with those groins
Gaff
Jelwood
Bont
Zorko
Matty Crouch another one I'm looking at

Really stuck on the Fyfe trade, none of the options standout. Thinking the best bet will be Beams or Crouch & pocket the cash.

Havn't been on long, so the Crouch broken hand is a rumour?

Also considering Crouch. Just this moment checked Adelaide's injury list on their website. As of July 3rd there is no mention of M Crouch in any injury capacity, but will await team selection almost confidently.

No love for Gazza? Surely he comes home like a freight train to push them into the finals

Guess it depends on what you want to achieve?  Overall or League wins?

I have almost the same scenario to deal with but as my overall is important, I am doing the Heeney to midfield trade.  This will use only 1 trade leaving me some to deal with any other issues for the next 7-8 weeks.  And given we have had weekly challenges this year, I wish I had 8 trades left!!

Sabretooth Tigers

 :'(

3 Trades left after these with Fritsch at F6 and the rest of the team full. Weak links Dusty and Boak.
Fyfe for Matty Crouch and Austin for Lloyd.  $5,100 left for peptides. Good luck to all and hopefully the SC gods don't bite you on the arse.

;)

Seeing everyone else running out cheers me up haha. Have a full side regardless.

Fyfe to Danger/Gaff. 6 trades left.

Or

Fyfe to Shuey. And Phillips to Beams/Menegola/Wingard/DeGoey giving me Beams/Shuey to loophole or can use Wingard/DeGoey as floating mid/fwd cover. 5 trades left.

Fyfe to Danger I think

Think he is the logical choice but it’s close between him Kelly Crippa Jelwood Ablett Gaff.
Still so undecided because I don’t think Danger will go huge but he’s super consistent low tons, only one under 100.
The other guys probably have more upside but it’s so much harder to nail one of those guys.

Grrrr

Lots of love for Gazza but my concern is will they rest him for the finals ?? Rd.22 Geelong play Freo at Geelong then in Rd.23 they play Gold Coast at Geelong. Would they rest Gazza or perhaps keep him up ?? RD.22 is SC preliminary Final and 23 the Grand Final. Don't think I'll make either without a lot of luck but still too risky. As much as I love the little champ I'm shying away.
