The dumbest trading season I've ever had

Traded in Liam Ryan on the bubble in round 2 and traded him out after his round 3 injury. Started and persisted with Jack Billings before FINALLY cutting my losses and trading him out at round 12. Traded Ryan back in round 13 for some quick break even cash. Now with one more premium forward needed to complete my side, with Billings playing the wing role like he did against Gold Coast I'll be very tempted to go Ryan back to Billings next week

Lol

5 total trades between 2 players. Plus a bunch of stupid things like holding buddy for 6 weeks or so then finally trading him before he comes back early with a tonne.. trading in guys like Webster and Darling only a week or two before they get injured etc. flower 2018. Can anyone beat the stupidity of them trade transactions?

frenzy

Bringing Billings back is future dumb.
Explain?
If Richo keeps him in a wing role, he could average 95+ for the rest of the season, as he did last year. Tell me one other player at 330k who has the potential to do that.

I'll wait.

Will be interesting to see how Billings goes if Richo keeps playing him on  wing.  ???

Saints played GC, Billings didn't even ton up. I'd be more focused on getting players like Hoff, Menegola or Buddy who are all averaging 100 & are still under the 500k mark. Fools gold is Billings, it's a bit like grabbing Hibberd after one 90+ score.

Holz

Jump on Jroo for a similar price to billings but a much better scorer.

To be fair he was on 108 with 5+ minutes left - that game got crazy scaled due to the finish and he lost 10 points or so

I started Billings this year and held him until he was dropped because as long as he is not playing pocket I believe he can go 95+, but he was played out of position. As for bringing him in now, way too soon - need to see if he can back it up - I'd want 3 games of 90+ before even considering him

I'm actually eyeing him off for next year now. He drove us crazy this year but it was lack of confidence and mostly playing out of position for him, not talent, which is why I still rate him where as most don't now haha

LOL how are you still suggesting this guy? I know he's a Dubliner, but he is not relevant for SC right now

Stats skewed by his concussion game, 7 scores 80+ & 3 tons. Hardly the worst pick for F7.

101 70 115 88 65 96 93 85 114 injured

the numbers speak for themselves.

He has also gone 80+ the last 8 years straight and pre injury 5 of his 9 scores where 90+ which you would happily take as a loophole. His team also plays alot of early games.

who else is better if you cant afford a 450+ guy?

Mundy yeah good point but 115k more expensive and only slightly better then pre injury Jroo
Wingard more expensive and all over the place
De Goey 115 more expensive and lower average then pre injury jroo

just an option for cash stapped teams, certainly not a must have

better then billings though

He is not worth the use of a trade

You're better off holding Fritsch, heck even Ronke or bringing in Ahern + 200k+

JROO as F7 would be alright, but it's bringing him in, the cost of a trade and everything else that makes it not worth it

I guess we will see i back Jroo to easily beat the 70 that Ronke has been putting up the last few weeks and your assuming everyone has Fritsch even then Jroo nets you 90.

its a case by case basis.

For me its ZGL or Jroo spending 50k and that a easy choice. 85 on the bench loop holing and covering is alot better then 60.

Judd Magic

Holz states a good case for JRoo.

If I had trades to burn still I would probably try and grab him for F7.  :P
