I want to trade out macrae and there are 2 options i like. Treloar or Oliver?
Both get a lot of the ball, but treloar has a lot more uncontested ball. Also, is treloar at risk of getting a tag? Leaning towards oliver but he is also most likely to get tagged as he is melbournes main man. Advice please??
Id go Oliver mate.

Doedee> Hurley
Holman> Rockliff
E Phillips or T Smith (if unnamed and $ allow it)> downgrade to Giro or Wilson
Long term the above trades make the most sense but to maximise points this week (as leagues are looking bleak and I need wins to make finals)...I'm now thinking...
Doedee> Hurley
Dusty> Oliver
Austin> Redman
Don't mind Austin --> Redman, not sure Austin's got much more cash to make. Not sure I'd trade Martin though.

Believe me when I say it goes against every instinct I have. It's not a trade I would ever consider but given I'm having an annus horibilis (ranked 16k and looking at making finals in only 1-3 leagues at present in my full quota of 10 so I'm seriously looking at it).
Elxam Champions is about my only goal now...and I'm languishing in 10th with a poor % ....have BS this week who doesn't have Martin but has Oliver. Could be game over if I don't.

jvalles69

Doedee -> Hurley
Seedsman -> Yeo

Not sure if I should hold Macrae and play McLean in the mids or trade.  Or trade Spargo/Guelfi/Austin/Fritsch to T-Mac.  Then next week Heeney will come in for one of those other guys.  Yes I have the cash to do this all.  ;D

Keeper27

Doedee + Phillips + Ronke OUT

Simmo + Treloar + TMac IN

Macrae has really flowered me

Do I upgrade Holman to a cheap prem for M9, then hold Macrae for 3-4 weeks and field that prem in his place who becomes cover later, or do I trade Macrae to a prem meaning Holman is my M9 for the rest of the year?

I think I need to trade Macrae as it leaves Holman as cover still, where as upgrading Holman means I have no cover as Macrae is on the bench

Flower

I'd look at this as opportunity, Macrae to Treloar frees up 100k, that saves you a rookie downgrade. You could then use that cash to get Holman up to Hoff. Two trades but excellent coverage on two lines. That would also fix up the Boak mistake as the two can be switched.

I need to complete my forward line though, so I don't think I can do something like that

At this stage I'm thinking

Austin to Redman
Macrae to Rocky  :-X
Moore to TMac

I have other options, but this option above gives me the best bench cover moving forward which I think has to trump player selection because I'll have bugger all trades left

Who's on your bench?

If I do those trades, Redman/Ridley down back, Holman M9 and Battle/Keeffe forwards

Certainly not great, but not too bad all things considered

I'll keep looking into what other options I have too

Torpedo10

At this stage, I'm passing on Ahern.  :-X

Coffield -> Redman
Doedee->Hurley
Ronke->Gray.

Leaving me with 8 trades, 50k & benches of (Austin, Redman) --- (Kelly, Ballard, Holman) & (Ryan, Tim Smith).

Taranto is technically an M8 float with the forwards, and when Macrae returns and plays a game or two he comes in for one of my rooks.

Very good cover on all lines Torp - sounds like you're in a very good position with that cover and amount of trades left

I'm passing on Ahern too most likely

Which combo guys?

Rocky + TMac
Treloar/Cripps/Bont/Zorko + Wingard
Zerrett/Pendles + Hoff
Or any other combo someone can think of

Basically, I need a mid and forward and have $973,900 to spend

I'm leaning towards Rocky + TMac or possibly Zorko + Wingard for something a bit unique

EDIT: Can also swing Sicily forward, bring in Hurley and then have 513k for a mid

Several combo's, can't decide

HappyDEZ

5 trades left.
3K in bank.
DEF (Redman, Rice)
MID (Wingard, J. Smith, Barry)
RUC (Crossley)
FWD (Ahern, ZGL)
Questionable Premos = Angus, Heater & Taylor Adams.

tommy10

Thinking Murphy, Austin and Barry/Spargo to Redman, Hurley and Ahern
Team done with 6 trades left. Will probably grab J Smith for Holman to generate cash and do a luxury trade in Heater to Yeo.
Then sit tight till finals ot grab best premos available.

_wato

Austin > Ahern, Doedee > McDonald / Yeo.
Final team with 4 trades remaining.

Judd Magic

#41
Ronke > Ahern via Heeney
Holman > Rockliff
Nank > Grundy

Next week -

Doedee > Redman

4 trades left and $290,000 in the kitty.

Team complete for now but will look at going Fritsch > McDonald at some stage and maybe Howe/Savage > Lloyd or someone > Macrae.

B - Laird, Yeo, Simpson, Sicily, Howe, Savage (Redman, Austin)
M - Fyfe, Mitchell, Danger, Oliver, Cripps, Treloar, Coniglio, Rockliff (Ahern, Giro, Barry)
R - Gawn, Grundy (Olango)
F - Heeney, Gray, McLean, Smith, Fritsch, Wingard (Guelfi, T.Smith)

Will depend on teams or injuries - If Tim Smith named and Devon Smith over injuries will have 18 available,

But thinking of 2 trades
Phillips to Ahern
Murphy to Andrews
Leaves 140k  for third trade if necessary,
and a third trade of Doedee to Sicily. If injuries allow.

T Smith to Ahern and Richards to Yeo. Leaving me with a full side, 6 trades and shower cover on every line.

Have Devon, Webster and McLean under injury clouds and languishing at 11th in my cash league though.
