Apologies, I didn't realise you had to select the highest averaging players in each position in numerical order. It also might be a good idea to learn from a certain coach's mistake and wait until the completion of tomorrow's game before querying about any non-selections.

After Hawthorn, Gold Coast, GWS, Brisbane, North & Bulldogs:

EurAsia heads into the last break with a likely unassailable lead, as its "Seoul" player from those above teams in Josh Kelly (149) absolutely killed it, whilst AAP were severely let down by its captain from Pacific in Tom Mitchell (106), fellow Islander Marcus Bontempelli (87) and Rio de Janeiro forward Jeremy Cameron (69). Christchurch's Toby McLean (86) could only muster a slightly below-par score in the forward line, however Mexico City star James Sicily (135) and Cairo power-forward Ben Brown (120) delivered fantastic contributions for the Alliance.

The Salty Seconds

Move aside Lachie Neale and pass the salt to Berlin's Luke Hodge (164)! One might say that the superstar doesn't like missing out on occasions like this, with a performance delivered with a little more chlorine than sodium. PNL forward Hayden Crozier produced a predictable 137 too, after a season average of 58.25 prior to that. Former EurAsia star ruckman and Dublin resident Todd Goldstein (132) wound back the clock, whilst Beijing forward Luke Breust (131), Tokyo forward Jarman Impey (121) and PNL defender Jarrod Harbrow (115) would have all put in for EurAsia.

For the Alliance, undebuted Pacific forward Billy Gowers (126) would have actually delivered the Alliance's fifth highest score out of all available players so far (which is crazy considering the calibre to choose from), New York's Shaun Higgins (123) and Rio's Jaeger O'Meara would have delivered worthy performances in the midfield, whilst Christchurch defender and general WXV star defender Heath Shaw (113) is ready to go in the emergencies for AAP.

AAP's defence gets the slight nod over EurAsia and the forward line battle is pretty even between both sides but the midfield battle (where it's usually decided) has clearly been won by EurAsia and that's the difference really
