After Sydney

Jake Lloyd has given EurAsia a terrific first-up boost over the Alliance, with an all important 120+ score doing both EurAsians and New Delhi fans proud. For a time there, the Alliance's Isaac Heeney (New York) was keeping up superbly with Lloyd, but petered out as the game went on to still post a 'par' score (in the context of this game). Berlin forward Lance Franklin almost looked like he would ruin EurAsia's chances at a victory so early in the game, scoring just 28 in the first half, but rallied in the second to effectively match Heeney's efforts.

We have the makings of a special game here!

And who could forget The Salty Seconds!

London's Heath Grundy (127) put in an enviable performance for EurAsia defence, perhaps making an official protest at the lack of Royals in the starting 15. Rio's Nick Smith (108) would have been handy for the Alliance defence too.

And I was *this* close to playing JPK (112), but I guess that could still end up being lower than the starting 4 mids.

you forgot to put the captain on him Ada

That's reserved for the greatest player to have ever played the game, Ed Curnow.

That's not how you spell Sam Kerridge.

I can deal with that

After Adelaide, Fremantle & St Kilda

FOIFE! Berlin's Nat Fyfe has delivered a SUPREME captain's performance for EurAsia; you really couldn't ask more from a captain, and has put the Alliance WELL on the back foot early! 2018 revelation Jimmy Webster (Buenos Aires) unfortunately went down injured early in the game, and will be subbed out for another defender.

PNL's best & fairest contender Luke Ryan (88) also rallied hard in the last quarter of his performance to put up a competitive 'par' score for EurAsia; a score I'll accept at this stage.

The Salty Seconds

Oh, how EurAsia would have loved Fyfe's partner-in-crime Lachie Neale (159) to front up and deliver some Thunder to the team. I reckon this 'Jing thing may end up being the saltiest second of the round.

Tokyo's Sebastian Ross (136) & Moscow pair Sam Jacobs (126) and Jake Kelly (121) would have made fine contributions to EurAsia, whilst New York's Jade Gresham (131), Cape Town's Jake Carlisle (130) and Cairo's Dan McKenzie (106) would have been masterful left field selections for AAP.
