460k is a great price, but if he continues playing lock down how will he score well enough?

Who says he will continue to play lock down? And he still scored 93.

Don't over think it too much. I'm grabbing him next week because 460k is excellent value and that's the name of the game especially at this point of the season
Why would he play lock down for one game vs Lions then change back vs better teams/fwds?
I'm all for value but sometimes it's not worth it. I got Crouch cos he was cheap and look how that turned out.

Come on mate, Crouch just had 1 bad game last week - bit early to make a call on that one

Seems like you're basing a lot of your decisions off one game of footy

Go with your gut, but I don't think anyone is going to convince you that Hurley is not a good pick
Nah, Crouch has been very underwhelming since I got him, made that call weeks and weeks ago. Been scoring 90-100 with only one decent score of 107. Has actually lost 30k down to 500 from 530, so that suggests average scoring at best. I've since realised he's the type of player that can get 35+ disposals and barely crack 100, much like Boyd used to do. Much more a DT option. Not good enough for a premo mid, especially as I choose him over Macrae.
As for Hurley it's only logical that his scores will suffer if he's not getting all those cheap possessions playing kick to kick with Goddard.
Yes he still scored 90+ but can he do that vs better teams/fwds?
I really wanted him in my team at 460k but the role change is worrying.
Lockdown is not as bigga problem in SC as it is in DT.
Andrews 66 DT / 92 SC
Dougal 49 DT / 75 SC
Rance 64 DT / 90 SC

Ricochet

If I go Spargo and Guelfi to Giro and Brander it gives me

18 but includes Laird (and Duman on the bench)

and 364k for next week

If no Laird or Duman, I'll probably have to go Duman to Hurn

These trades are what are killing me, I have Spargo, ZGL and Guelfi too, trading them helps my team this week, but screws me next week unless I trade to players who have had the bye.  I thought I planned my byes well, but nope.  :-X

Depending on Smith’s injury, but looking to do:
Fritsch, Guelfi and Ronke to Gray, Hoff and Giro
May pass on Giro and get Battle instead. Might do well against the Suns and hopefully kick a few. Only problem is he and Tim Smith are my F7 & F8.

I was thinking of trading devon smith. But now i've cooled off. But considering walters 2 weeks without him is tough

North Melbournes Finest

I'm going to have about 20 on the field this week, should I look to bring in Joel Smith this week in over Giro as it will help me next week when I have 12 bye guys (including Giro) and Keefe + Olango?

I can trade 3 guys next week to get me up to 19 including Devon Smith, if I do bring in Giro this week. But if Smith is out, and someone else gets dropped/injured, I could be in trouble.

Is Joel Smith a lock to keep playing every week from here on out?

no eye deer

I was going to bring in Simmo, Mclean and Giro, but seeing as my opponent doesn’t have Laird or Walters, I have no chance of winning.

So I’m going to tank this week, and just get Simmo. Hoping Yeo and McLean have slow games, with high BEs, so I can grab them both to finish my side next week, with 7 trades left. Going to struggle to make my cash league finals though.

Marstar

L.Murphy Spargo and Guelfi -> Cripps Giro and Ryan +193k change and gives me 18.

Best I can do.

sammy123

16 playing after 3 trades

Fritsch walters phillips out

Hurn westhoff giro in

batt

#86
Trades revision 3.

ZGL, Fritsch, Murphy for Gray, Hurn, Simmo.

In an ideal world at least some of Laird, Murphy, Duman, Phillips, Garlett, Crossley, Walters play and perhaps the byes wouldn't be this awful.

Also ideally one of Duman and Murphy played and made at least a bit of cash before they got traded out.

RaisyDaisy

Slight change of plans

I was going to bring in Hurley next week to complete my def, but I need to win my cash league match this week and with both Laird and Murphy out I am bringing in Hurn this week instead

OUT
Ronke
Guelfi
Murphy

IN
Gray
Hurn
Battle

Big change in plans lmao

Coffield > Simpson
Fritsch > Giro (or Battle)
Guelfi > Liam Ryan (or Rocky/JJK)

_wato

ZGL, Philips, Guelfi OUT
Ballard, Brander, Gray IN

Missing the boat on Ahern for bye reasons this week
