Pretty simple. Need to trade one this week. Who is more likely to return later? Who should be traded?

It's a lottery, both supposedly injured, reckon Smith would be better value if named but can't guarantee he will be.

I'm trading Smith

I think they're both done, but I can sit Ridley at D8 where as Smith is currently playing higher for me so need to get him out

I'd love to trade both, but can't burn 2 trades for such small gains, so Smith gets the chop for mine

I traded both

Ridley to Heron netted 60k and Smith to Ahern netted 65k. Now have 300k to sort out my Rd 13 bye issues.

Happy for Herron to sit at D8 and Ahern although early gives me an additional DPP.

In addition to what I said, you get a bit more cash trading Smith, and he was dropped where as Ridley is injured

I can't see either of them coming back for a while, so take the extra 25k with Smith and plonk Ridley at D8

Not sure I'd bother with Ridley to Heron - Heron is going to score poorly, lets be generous and say 150 points over the next three weeks - is a trade worth 150 points and 60k? I don't think so

I don't understand why people are trading Smith. Last week he was a must have rookie, played two great games then got injured.
Now he's a sell? Why bring him in in the first place?
As for Ridley, he didn't have many disposals but had good DE and may have held his spot was he not also injured.
I mean Ahern could also get injured, Heron could get dropped and scores poorly anyway. Smith and Ridley could come back then what?
There's bugger all value in trading them, surely if you have a Barry or Garlett they would be better trade outs? While they also have minimal value they have far less chance of playing/scoring than Smith+Ridley.

A few points on this

Smith was a must have because he had two big scores and was going to make a lot of cash. That 26 has killed his cash gen now. Yes he might go up 30k next game, but he isn't playing this week, has the bye the following week and who says he returns the week after?

The reality is, most teams have 4-5 rookies at 200k or less, and you can't carry them all through the byes so you need to trade at least one of them

The problem with guys like Barry and Mutch is that there are no downgrade options. Yes there is Ahern, but I need him in the forwards, not mids

I would have chopped Murphy over Smith/Ridley but he is getting games now, so for me at least one of Ridley/Smith/Barry/Mutch needs to go, and Smith gets the chop because I get the most cash from him and I honestly can't see him returning soon. I can also leave Ridley at D8 and Barry/Mutch M10/11 but Smith is my F7 (Keeffe F8) so F7 takes priority over D8/M10/M11

i'd trade Ridley, Doubt he makes his way back into the side now that Hurley is back

Ridley Dusty Smith out

McDonald Austin and Holman in?

My circumstances are that I am desperate for a win to keep i touch with top eight in my main league - been a shower year.

Mid priced madness Holman should at least get me cash and he has played his bye.

Good luck

Holman over Rocky is an interesting pick, would take Rocky myself.

Holding both at this stage.

I feel like Ridley will come back - listed as being injured. Just the worst timing for it to happen.

Tim Smith showed plenty in his first 2 games, feel like he will knock the door down again soon. Pity he had a couple of injuries during the game last week and couldn't get involved as much.

Can't afford if I grab T McDonald and I don't see either as keepers anyway.

Thanks

Actually could dump Finlayson and then afford Westhoff.

More betterer?
