Ive gone from having 22 to potentially having 17 if Conigs and Laird don't play. Going to have to do a trade or 2 that I didn't want to just to field a side
That's when you have to ask yourself if it's worth trading. You may get more points this week, but if it's disrupting trade plans/structures will you end up losing more points in the long run? Will you miss the premo/s u wanted? Delay getting premos and copping rookie scores for longer? Run out of trades  towards the finals? Trade a rookie early and miss more cash generation?
It's only one round, and while donuts are crap, are u better off making up the points in the other byes and beyond?
This is what I am considering as well do I trade to ensure 18 with all the outs or take the risk and wait to get right premos rather than mid price ones eg Boak, Gray, Rocky or Miller.

Boak & Gray are legit premos in their own right, then with the extra game they become top 6 material. If you are covering a donut then divide their projected score by 10 and add that to their average. Boak goes from a 95 player to a 105 player. Boak is also likely to play every game for the year. As for Gray, he's the second best forward this year by average, I also have a feeling he will be back in the midfield this week.

If Cogs, Laird, Murphy, Lambert, Higgins & Rice all play 19.

This is my thinking. Thinking of going Boak over Buddy just because it makes it easier come Round 14 for me. Should go close to matching him for the rest of the year too.

Has there ever been a more nervous wait for Thursday team selections? Haha

*Friday team selections

We may not know if Ridley, Murphy, Mihocek, Smith & Spargo are playing until 5pm Friday.

Possibly Saturday for Mihocek, Smith & Spargo even given they play Monday. This could mean Ahern is locked out before you have the chance to use him to cover a Smith/Spargo donut....

I'm telling you, stick to your long term trades and just cop whatever this round, throw caution to the wind for this round and get out and enjoy your long weekend (for those in Melb) and enjoy a week off from the constant SC score watching - consider this our bye haha

Big game for Dom Barry in the SANFL last week (29 disposals and 135 #SuperCoach points). A return will be welcomed. @PAFC

Fingers crossed, I could really use his 30!

Short term thinking - I think you'd be crazy to trade out Conigs or Fyfe

Let's be serious, unless you are in with a legit chance to finish 1st overall and win the cash, cop the donuts and prepare yourself to have really good weeks in the next two byes

Okay RD,

Currently 3rd overall (202 points behind 1st).  Reckon i'm a legit chance for 1st overall:  Whats your thoughts?  Bank is $70,800.

Started with 22 available.

Injured/Suspended:  Laird, Fyfe, Conigs??
Unlikely/Dropped: Keefe, Murphy??, Coffield??, TSmith??

Max 19, Min 15.

Defence:
Rnd 12 Bye:  YEO, SIMPSON
Rnd 13 Bye:  Brayshaw, Keefe
Rnd 14 Bye:  LLYOD, LAIRD, Doedee, Murphy

Midfield:
Rnd 12 Bye:  MACRAE, MITCHELL, CRIPPS
Rnd 13 Bye:  OLIVER, CONIGLIO, Spargo
Rnd 14 Bye:  FYFE, CROUCH, MARTIN, Coffield, Phillips

Rucks:
Rnd 12 Bye: Olango
Rnd 13 Bye: GAWN, GOLDSTEIN

Forwards:
Rnd 12 Bye: MCLEAN, SICILY
Rnd 13 Bye: DSMITH, Fritsch, Guelfi, TSmith
Rnd 14 Bye: HEENEY
Bye Free:     GRAY

Only viable upgrade option I've considered is Westhoff.  So Conigs out would only be -5k. Could move Westhoff to forwards in Round 13 to remove Guelfi and provide some balance to the forwards.  Wouldn't know which midfielder to bring in during round 13 if that's the case (effecively to replace Conigs).

Firstly congrats on the ranking, super impressive.

While I don’t expect you to publicise how many trades you have left I think this is the key. If trading to the Hoff avoids the donut and you have >9 trades I’d do it as your not far off a full team. The teams above you may be lower on trades..

Compare it against other trades, eg Goldy to Grundy rnd 14 and include the cash required to make that trade, and weight up the cash/trade/points ratio. Good luck

Goosey

Until teams come out tomorrow night, I have got no idea what my team will look like!

my Thursday night ritual is hitting reverse trades, Can't wait!  ;D

Anythings possible but I doubt it. Don't be surprised if Thomas gets a call up with Charlie & Chad both struggling to hit the scoreboard.

PICCOLLO

Conig, Laird, Dusty and Fyfe look gone.

Ridley probably dropped. Murphy could go too.

The bare 18 looks likely.
