So I've just done all my bye planning, and for flowers sake I have to keep Billings until his bye. I just can't see any other options other than what I have come up  :-\

Looks like it's just the 1 trade for me this week, Spargo to Austin

Might do a second trade of Murphy to Mihocek - even if he doesn't play a third he will be D8 anyway

What's the prognosis?

Must admit I'm in a bit of a pickle myself, not sure if I should punt Garlett or ZGL, money vs an extra body on the field. Should be right for round 14 but 1 injury & I'll need an extra trade. Gut says Garlett needs to go.

Well this is the issue I face

Next week I only have 16 on field, so I need to trade Guelfi and either Smith or Fritsch, and I need to grab prem forwards who have had their bye so that leaves Gray/Hoff/Boak/JJK and I need 400k+ to do that (Currently have 330k so Spargo to Austin gets me to 400k)

Having 18 next week after those 2 trades includes Billings and Ronke so I can't trade them because if I trade them this week (say to Gray/Hoff) then I am stuffed next week with 16 on field and no cash to trade out Guelfi/Smith

On top of that, for R14 I need to trade out 2 R14 players to get 18 on field again so that's when I trade out Billings and Ronke and bring in Ahern and a prem forward like TMac or Robbo (someone who has had their bye)

It's quite a minefield figuring this out, but I've looked at every angle and because Austin and Ahern (and possibly Mihocek) are the only good looking downgrade targets, factoring in their byes etc I see my only option as follows

This week: Spargo to Austin (Maybe Murphy to Mihocek too)
Next week: Guelfi and Smith to Gray and JJK (Instead of JJK I could get Hoff but would either need to do Murphy to Mihocek this week to get the extra funds or trade out Fritsch next week instead of Smith)
Following week: Ronke and Billings to Ahern and Prem forward

Either way, at the end of the byes I'll be lucky to have 4-5 trades left, and still have Austin on field at D6  :-\

Very similar scenario to my predicament, I basically have to go early on Ahern or Mihocek & need to hope all the BEs fall into place. What I'm thinking is this -

Mirra to Austin
Spargo to Treloar

These trades just about locked, leaves about 26k.

Then Garlett to Ahern, this puts 100k in the coffers.

Week 2.

Fritsch to Gray. This just about locked unless Gray hits 150 & Fritsch scores under 30, highly unlikely but would love some change. Most realistic scenario is Gray scores 100-110 & hits 500k, Fritsch scores 70-80 & hits 420k. Change would then be 20k (hopefully!).

That's 17 starters, so need to attempt a Guelfi upgrade. Based on current average should hit 290k. Options therefore would be Murphy to Mihocek leaving me with 126k, that's enough to get JJK although I'm not entirely sold. The other option is ZGL to Giro leaving me with 170k & a 50/50 chance to get Boak. Buddy probably a more realistic chance all things considered.

Week 3.

If it's Buddy then I'm back down to 16 starters, which means it has to be Murphy to Mihocek & Doedee to Simmo or Hurley. That's 8 trades all up & very likely 9 if I have to cover for injury. So best case scenario is 4 trades left but I'm not betting on it. Not sure I can survive 9 weeks on 3-4 trades but don't see any other possibilities.

Yep it certainly sounds like you're in a very similar predicament

I'm hoping I can get away with only using 5 or 6 trades during the byes. Team won't be complete, but I'd rather try and hang onto a few more trades for the latter part of the season and if it means copping the odd horrible rookie score then so be it

I've only got 20 this week, but that includes 9 rookies LOL and guys like Murphy, Ridley, Smith etc it's not going to be pretty

The problem with all those said rooks is that they all share that showerty Rd 13 rookie bye that is no good for anyone. Spargo is gone next week anyway, so in saying that I'd rather make the upgrades now and get premo scores out of Budster and Gray. Don't need the rookies past these byes so may as well trade (Guelfi/ZGL) who have made more money than Ridley and Smith and trade those two out after they've made more cash.

Only difference I could make would be trading Spargo over Guelfi a week early but means I can't afford Gray + Buddy.

Hurley's BE is 150, personally I'd wait until Round 14 for this trade. Means you have Brayshaw playing Round 13 too.

With Coffield not getting games at the moment and with byes on us taking that opportunity to get a playing rookie. In saying that if Coffield named may hold that trade.
