I have the feeling Walters will miss more games with the gammy knee.
He didn't have any strapping on it last game which I think is a positive sign.

Anyways, with Lids now gone, I'm trading him to the guy I chose to trade out over him.  That makes sense.

Lids > Walters...  Life would have been so much easier if I traded Lids instead of Walters in round 7.

annnnnnnd Kelly > Heeney.

Boak and Rocky can wait.  Prepared to sacrifice some $$ with Rocky so I can get a better look at him.

Jacobs to Grundy this week :) What was I thinking picking that big oaf

Couple Qs: Geelong fans, is Kelly playing deep fwd looking like a semi-permanent thing? His BE is scaring me.

Also, Tim Smith? Has he actually been playing really well or are the scores a bit of fools gold?

Kelly out for Smith via DPP

Then either Murphy to Ridley (Murph struggling to get a regular spot, may as well bank 70k) or ZGL to Walters

Surely he comes back in after Sunday’s performance?!

Maybe but certainly seems fringe and isn't blowing away the score sheet. BE of 5 means even if he scores around his average he'll only go up ~20k if he comes in. 4 games for the season so far doesn't excite me. Also, I've got Mirra at D7 and a relatively complete backline (Hibbo D6), so Murph is kinda dead weight at the moment...

Kelly -> Walters

Only one trade this week for me:
- Went a week early on T.Smith
- Want to see another week of Rocky before I bring him in

One of ronke or fritsch needs to go out for me this week. Cant decide which. Fritsch has the worse bye for me, but a better score. Ronke the opposite. Both have a bit more money to make but I need the points. Whoever isn't traded out will be sitting at f6 for a while.

Edit nvm ronkes bye is probably worse. Ronke out it is, gray in.

Murphy played the first 3 games of the season and kicked 3.4 over that period, which is a decent return for a guy just starting out in the small forward position. He was also providing a bit of pressure, laying 11 tackles.

Unfortunately, he picked up a hamstring injury at training after that and couldn't break into the side once he was ready to return for some reason. They have preferred Polholke which puzzles me, as he has provided them nothing in the 5 games hes played.

Murphy finally got a second chance against the Dogs in a difficult game affected by torrential rain and still managed to hit the scoreboard kicking 1.1. He was stiff to get dropped after that and not get a chance in the dry.

In short, he's been good and I expect he will force his way back in. For context, he has more goals than Kayne Turner who has played all 10 games as a small forward for North.

That's all very well and good, but as I have said many times, supercoach is a game of economics, not footy. Murphy has played 4/10 games for an average of 56.5 ppg, has a BE of 5, if he scores 57 he goes up ~23.1k according to SC gold. The reasons why are irrelevant really, Crowley was a fantastic tagger who did an extremely good job of his role in footy, but you'd never pick him in SC because it's not about having good footy players, it's about scoring points or making money. Ridley has a BE of -51 and goes up ~50.8k if he scores 63. Even if that's not likely, he's probably gonna go up 40k even if he scores 50. As neither is on my field, their points don't matter to me, their cash generation does. Murphy being inconsistently in and out of the team doesn't help me when I need money making now. If he's named then I'll reconsider, but as it stands his performances aren't guaranteeing him a spot and aren't scoring him heaps of SC points, so his worth to my SC team is extremely limited.

And for me personally, I have trade breathing room, I have a completed back line, 7/8 mids, 5/6 fwds. I want to get Macrae in, not sure who will finish my fwds, and swap in Grundy at some point. I have 14 trades to do that with... so show me the money!

Debating between:
Rayner/Henry > T Smith.
T Kelly > ???

Smith has gotta come in this week, the only problem is that I don't know which is better to trade out. Henry has the lower BE and will rise again, while Rayner is bleeding money. But do I trade out Henry now as it looks like there aren't many outstanding rookie mids or forwards on the horizon?
And obviously it's time for Kelly to go. He's had a magnificent run, but that monster of a BE is going to strip his value real quick. I have enough money to upgrade to Danger, but then I'll have pretty much no money left. I could go to walters or boak or hoff, but that's not appealing to me either. I could be risky and downgrade him but I don't think that's such a good idea.
I'm a bit lost with this second trade, let me know what you all think.

Ringo

Would go Kelly to Danger as he is probably around his lowest price of the year and will start to rise from now.

Henry will continue to make cash for the next two weeks at least so would trade Rayner as you say bleeding cash. With Ahern finally look like getting a game Kelly to Ahern in 2 weeks should get a nice cash rise.

Thanks Ringo. I'll take this into consideration. It also means I'll only be fielding 4 rookies, (Doedee, Holman, Higgins/Guelfi/Henry/Spargo)

Torpedo10

I'll probably come back to regret it, but Walters is irresistible at 420. Premium numbers on the weekend playing almost a fair chunk forward.

Sugar Kayne is not in the team to get possies/goals, Lol. His coach Brad 'dizzy' Scott even says that Kayne doesn't recieve stats for all the good 'pressure acts' he brings to the team. He must have pictures of the coach. Interestingly he played his best game for the club last week. So Murphy would look like a superstar compared to Sugar, it's not that hard.
