I went with gawn+goldy combo to start the year, I was really wanting to swap goldy to grundy at some point after goldys shocking scores but problems elsewhere meant I couldn't. Quite happy with goldsteins last couple weeks though especially against sandilands last week getting 100. I think I'll stick it out, hoping goldy continues this run and grundy puts in a couple below average scores.

Even if Goldy continues this run, it isn’t up to standard. Sure it is great he tonned up, but Grundy posted a 150 so it’s 50 points lost. Goldstein needs to regularly go 120+ to justify a hold IMO.

so are you saying if goldy averages 95-100 from here out then he isnt a hold?

If Grundy averages 150 from here on out then yeah you need to bring him in

No what I am actually saying is that even if Goldy averages 95-100 from here and Grundy 115-120, I would still make that trade.

The 150 v 100 last weekend was just a single week example of the damage Grundy can do to Goldstein owners. If their averages are 20+ points apart from this point onwards, then you should do that trade in my opinion.

No-one would hesitate upgrading Tim Kelly (90 avg) to say, a Clayton Oliver (110 avg). This is no different.

Goldstein is not a premium ruck in 2018. The benchmark set by Gawn & Grundy dictates that.

Well said.

Though I have Grundy and I do kind of hope not everyone can jump on!

Yep good trade. You'd expect Sandi will only miss the one but its a good chance to grab Grundy

Also did the same. Grundy should smoke Apeness this week.

Wish I could bring this guy in but just have too many other problems

Geez I hope he has a few quiet weeks though, although he'll probably go 150+ this week now  :'(

If Sandi is out this week lock in another 150 against freo at the mcg. Will make him vc again if so.
Yeah, he'll be my fall back C option with no Sandi. VC won't work this week dmac but I know what you're getting at.

Yep, hadnt looked at the order of the games. Gawn into Grundy. Expect Gawn to do to the dogs what Grundy did though abd take a 150
Exactly. Same. Ditto. What is it they say about great minds?

Gawn into Grundy for me too. Surely one of them goes big against weak opposition rucks?!

As for great minds.... unfortunately, the full saying is exactly the opposite of how most people use it:

"Great minds think alike, but fools rarely differ."

Hopefully not the case this time!
