Like RD I think Ryan could be a good POD but Buddy avg 104 at 490 is nearly 10ppg better, and hard to go past as a near certainty for top 10 fwd.


With Murray and Finlayson both out, I'll bring Webster in for one, the other I can go to anyone through Sicily and Spargo (currently in F and M respectively).

But he has been working on strategies to beat them. Know he has had a fair few discussions with former players as well. Noticed also last week that Robbo was never far away from him as well nice blocking of taggers. In saying that however am really concerned for the 2 games against Roos we have and Jacobs tag as no one really escapes this. So like me when considering have to factor in at least 2 low scores.

It's not like they told him this big secret to avoiding tags completely. Sure they have given him a few little ideas/tricks that may help him get away at times, but it wouldn't be a heap of stuff he hadn't already learnt over his footy career. There's no magic cure.

Beating tags is a combo of ability, help from team mates, work-rate and your team controlling the ball.

He's always had the ability. His team mates can definitely help him more (like you mentioned with Robbo). He can probably work harder, but I've always admired his work-rate tbh. But lastly, with a pretty solid 3 of next 4 opponents, i don't see Brisbane winning a hell of a lot more ball in the near future.

Have had a tough time deciding between Lloyd and Howe, but I just think Howe fits my byes better.
