To be honest I would hold both of them. I'm sure there are worse options. Maybe a mid rookie and use the Finlayson DPP to swap him into the mids.

Murray was first to go for me.  Never particularly fancied him as a SC scorer.  He has a lot of dash and is exciting to watch but I don't really rate his use.

These guys are all great cos they are scoring well, keep them if you think they are top backs (which they prob aren't), otherwise they're a means to an end.

Marstar

If they aren't required on field when they hit their B/E they become another cash-cow or premium.

For me doedee becomes simpson next week or week after

_wato

Murray already gone for me and Finlayson gone next week. Doedee will be the one who stays in the team the longest.

Murray, Finlayson and Doedee  are my D4-6 as well but I'm not ready to trade them yet. My fwd line is my main priority as those 3 defenders are scoring way better than my F4-6.

I've had those 3 as my D2-4 for most of the year  ;D :-X

Trading Finlayson and Holman, sooner or later you have to cash in your chips and take your money!

Finlayson will be moving to D7 in due course, Holman probably ready to cull.

Deadly6

Holman too good for the byes to get rid of.

MontyJnr

If Holman pulls out one of his 80+ scores against the Dees (he's already done that 4 times this year), then his breakeven will be quite low again next week with his 33 cycled out.

Worth holding over the likes of Banfield, Fogarty, Finlayson & even Christensen for mine.

Agree

I plan on holding Holman because he will be very handy through the byes and easy to cover when he has his bye

I'm giving Finlayson the flick this week as it allows me to bring in M.Crouch.  8)

I think a lot of coaches get too sentimental over rookies instead of taking them to the slaughter house once their average is near their breakeven.

I will only have 4 rookies left on the ground next week when I upgrade Doedee/Murray to Yeo.

Rookies should be upgraded to a premo as soon as the opportunity presents itself!  ;)

I agree, if you have the funds for upgrades, rookies have to be traded. Sometimes they might look worthy of a few more weeks for one reason or another, but if you want to upgrade you have to make the tough calls.
