Elcapitano

I'm torn between who is the best valued bottomed out Mid I should be looking to bring in as an upgrade.

all the talk is Crouch, but Neale's looking very appealing. & I had JPK to start the season not sure how consistent he will be.

What's your thoughts?

Crouch would be my pick

Neale is a good option too but Id prefer Crouch

JPK is a fair bit off those two I feel, even though his last 2 weeks have been huge

Elcapitano

Crouch would be easily 1st picked based on last year.

My only concern is can we be confident his hammy is ok now & he's fully fit..
My other thought is with Sloane out can that effect his scoring ability? Possible tag? Or does having Gibbs in now help that...

I'd be going Crouch myself if it wasn't for bye structure so bringing Macrae in instead.

MC

Yep Crouch for me. He's the new heir-apparent to the pig status previously held by one D Swan, and currently held by T Mitchell.

In all seriousness though, he's the one with plenty of room to develop further, whilst already showing 110+ capabilities.
Neale is at risk of being shifted around to cater for all the Freo kids and JPK has had some turbulent form the past few years (as have all Sydney mids).

Crouch also has the upside of the Crows currently cruising along in first gear, once they start ramping it up post-byes he'll be massive I feel.

Holz

Basically has a 100 floor

put up 51 points in 23% TOG so thats on pace for a 177 game (which is unrealistic) so make it 120

105 120 100 122

you cant get much better then that at 530k.

If we're looking for value, plus a more suitable bye, is Redden now an option?  West Coast are short on mids currently and Redden's form has skyrocketed, last 2 games albeit home games were 127 and 134.

Not at this stage of the year

It's all about bringing in proven guns now

Agreed, I might consider in AF, but every chance he has one of his massively quiet games.

Can I through a spanner in the works and suggest Oliver? :P

Only $26,500 more than Crouch but a better Bye.

I already have 6 Premos (plus T.Kelly and Doedee) out in R14 :S

BE of 121, so wouldn’t think he would lose or gain much

With people either finishing their midfield with this selection or at least looking to hold Tim Kelly for awhile still, does losing cash really come into it?

If you pick Crouch, you're picking him for the rest of the season. Likewise with Oliver. It is only 26k between them, so really not much at all.

Personally, I prefer Oliver considering his favourable bye.
