What do I do?

Right, I am in a bit of a predicament here. I have been savaged by injuries (like a lot of people) and hence my lowly ranking of 54k.
What I'm trying to do and like I have in past years is burn through the trades to get a premium team on the park quicker and get my rank back up to a respectable spot for me.

So my trades this week will either set my season up or put me down for misery.

My current team is

Laird, Savage, Lloyd, Doedee, Murray, Mirra (Richards, Keefe)
Titch, Fyfe, Bontempelli, Oliver, Coniglio, Beams, Finlayson, Kelly (Holman, Banfield, Garlett)
Gawn, Sandilands (Olango)
Menegola, Greene, Billings, Smith, Sicily, Guelfi (Fritsch, ZGL)

My plans can literally be boiled down to 3 options.

Option 1:
Murray > JPK
Greene > Robinson

1 genuine underpriced premo and one guy who looks like he's doing all of Brisbane's grunt work and getting points accordingly. Leaves me with 0 cash for trades next week but should be able to build up the war chest by dropping Banfield and Holman and getting Spargo and Mutch/Worpel so 335k in bank for Rd 9 trades. MCrouch will come in for Kelly and maybe Hibberd for Richards depending on his scores this week.

Option 2:
Murray > Danger
Greene > Spargo

Danger obviously a gun but worried by injuries? and form. Playing a lot up forward which gets me worried. Leaves me with $160k to get Crouch in immediately next week and grab Worpel/Mutch from Banfield to make cash for future upgrades again.

Option 3:
Murray > Neale/Jelwood/Zerrett
Greene > Spargo

Similar to option 2 but gives me over an extra 100k than the Danger option. Would have over 300k for upgrades in Rd 9.

My favoured thinking is the first option but leaves me with not much room to get in the big guns without sideways trading later on. I'm happy to do that seeing as I'll have a gain in points which will get me up the rankings for now.

Laird, Savage, Lloyd, Doedee, Finlayson, Mirra (Richards, Keefe)
Titch, Fyfe, Bontempelli, Oliver, Coniglio, Beams, JPK, Kelly (Holman, Banfield, Garlett)
Gawn, Sandilands (Olango)
Menegola, Billings, Smith, Robinson, Sicily, Guelfi (Fritsch, ZGL)

Any advice is appreciated! FWIW I'm targeting Hurley/Yeo/Simmo down back, Danger/MCrouch in the mids, Ryder in the rucks for Sandi and Heeney/Gray up forward. Hopefully get Sicily to be D7/F7 swing and play him when match ups work.

If not Robinson, I'm interested in guys such as Boak/Gunston/Acres/Dahl as alternatives.

I'm getting Robbo in this week as a PoD. Feel he should be good for 95+ which is good for F5/6.

Don't think getting JPK suits your team tbh, gotta be getting the top 10 mids at this stage unless you've got all of Danger, Mitchell, Martin, Fyfe. I would go Robbo and Spargo. Should allow you to bank some cash for Holman --> Danger/Martin next week.

Not sold on Dusty at all, last 2 weeks have proven that his role isn't fantasy friendly if he can't snag goals.
Titch/Oliver/Crouch should all be top 6/7 and I will grab Danger, just a matter of when. To save myself some cash, JPK could be the guy who jumps in price and allows me to bridge the gap to Danger by 100k.
Have looked at the Robbo idea but Crouch is the cheap guy to grab in the next week or 2 and if I was going for just the one upgrade this week I'd bank the points Danger would net over Robbo.

Haha you did but I don't see the point in it. The forward rookies would match Holman/Banfield on field and Danger outscores Robbo?? PLUS knowing I’d have a fair bit of cash available I wouldn’t even look at Robbo, Heeney would be my guy!

As i said the other day, any fwd premo, whether it be Robbo, Heeney, or whoever. Then pick up crouch and danger much cheaper over the next 2 weeks without having to sideways trade someone like jpk, beams, etc.

Option 2. Absolute no brainer

@GL,

Greene > McLean, Murray > Spargo giving me 285k

Next week

Banfield > Worpel/Mutch, Holman > Crouch 200k left

Week after

Kelly > Danger no cash left

Laird, Savage, Lloyd, Doedee, Finlayson, Mirra (Richards, Keefe)
Danger, MCrouch, Titch, Fyfe, Bontempelli, Oliver, Coniglio, Beams (Spargo, Worpel/Mutch, Garlett)
Gawn, Sandilands (Olango)
Menegola, McLean, Billings, Smith, Sicily, Guelfi (Fritsch, ZGL)

Plan could work. Hopefully Danger doesn't go nuts and I miss out on points.

Bully

Go with the gut Wato, don't mind the first option because JPK could make just as much as a rookie in the long run, just don't expect instant gratification this week.

That's a decent plan imo

Was all over JPK, but just looked properly and he's gone over 110 8 times in his last 27 games, including 11/27 of those scores being under 93. Not gonna win me matches or offer me more than a 100 average so yes he's cheap but just not worth the punt I don't think.

Compare that to his previous 27 games, where 15/27 were over 120, and only 2 games under 90 including a 90.

batt

As they say, only take premos that have fallen due to injury.  Crouch is in a different league to JPK - both in value and scoring.

duffercoat

Much prefer crouch/jelwood/merrett to jpk or danger at the minute.

crowls

Option 3 wato.   You have a number of ?? mid performers at the moment and nothing happening yet to convince me JPK is back in form.     Like Neale as a reliable scorer likely to avg 110 till end of season, still gets you cash to give you flexibility for next upgrade.

Danger and Crouch both likely in next couple of weeks at lower prices.    Also do not see bringing Ryder in immediately for Sandi a sound move.   Ryder is likely to throw in a some poor scores as he builds match fitness.
