When i started him i never planned to keep him but he has been great im just keeping my options open in case

If your other 7 starting midfielders aren't Fyfe, Macrae, Mitchell, Oliver, Cripps, Danger & Treloar, then you must be carrying a midfielder worse than Coniglio that should be traded out before him anyway.

I currently have

Macrae, Titch, Dusty, Fyfe, Oliver, J.Kelly, Conigs, T.Kelly

The jury is out on J.Kelly but I've held him this long so I will see how he goes when he returns (Hopefully a nice POD)

T.Kelly I don't see the point in trading for now, but will eventually upgrade him to Danger if it warrants it

As for Conigs, he is doing more than enough to hold down M8 for the year but if he does start to taper off I will look at Cripps/Crouch/Neale

Danger, Cripps/Crouch/Neale are the only 4 I don't have that I would consider

Will consider downgrading Tim Kelly to Rocky in two weeks if he puts in another big one. Ideally want one more gun mid as a last upgrade so I can loophole Zerrett into Rocky/T.Kelly.

Assuming most have TKelly as M8, why not try and get the cash to upgrade a lesser rookie and keep Kelly for M9?
Or would people prefer to pick u a fallen premo for that?

Yeah I think the fallen premo is usually the go to, but Kelly could definitely be a perma M9.

We've never had a rookie like him ( except Zorko the other) and most people think because he's a rookie he has to be traded at some point - it's a psychological thing I'm sure, but this guy can definitely be a M9 keeper

Barlow was another super rookie.
Keeping Kelly at M9 sounds good in theory,if you can afford to go that way.
Personally having missed both Ronke and Higgins my cash gen is compromised so I'll probably have to use his value to trade a premo in, rather than find an extra 200+k to upgrade a Garlett type.

Can’t see myself keeping Kelly personally.

I will either upgrade him to Danger (same bye) or “downgrade” him to Rocky after his bye if he scores well in China. Then I would get Danger via another rookie hopefully to push Rocky to M9.

Not sure if it will actually be possible, but imagine we could use the profit from Kelly > Rocky to perform an upgrade somewhere else ;D

When we say keep him at M9 ... I am assuming that meant closer to R18 as a luxury, not right now. He's 24y/o averaging 100 worth only $430K. 

Mathematically you get no value trading him to a fallen Prem atm.

T.Kelly + Holman (bench)  -> M.Crouch + Phillips (bench) + $47K
or
Holman (bench) + Doedee -> Simpson + Phillips (bench) + change

So you burn 2 trades to net <$50K profit but actually have a lower score.

What are people doing with conigs. I know he been quiet past 2 games not worried at all but will people use hin as bench cover or luxary trade him at the end of the yr?

Gazza expected to drop another 40k over the next few weeks. Gazza at $510 will be the one i target. Even if he misses one or 2 games late ill have Zerrett as Cover later in the season

26 touches, 17 Cp's, 8 clearances so looked to be playing the role from last year that saw him score so well instead of the full forward stuff he's been playing.

And funny actually that his scores from this year are nearly exact same as last year. 3 big scores to start followed by a month of rubbish and then a low ton and then he went bananas. Could be time to jump on.

Danger though scored a 114 with 13 cp's and 7 clangers, so could easily have gone larger and they got pumped. Have Carlton and GC in the next 2 so could be where he shows his stuff.

The 100k difference probably what makes the call here.

Go Dusty Wato, perfect timing. Biggest mistake of the year for me was jumping on at 620k.

As a Dusty owner, it kinda rips my undies that people will be able to jump on at 490 haha. Starting Macrae over Dusty would have been an absolutely huge call at the start of the season, but probably would put you right up the top now... 32ppg better off, plus an extra 70k at the start and a difference of 230k if you were bringing one in this round. 300k plus 32ppg. Crikey.

I'm pretty sure I'll grab Danger this week, Kelly or Henry to Danger is like-for-like as far as bye planning. Martin has the same bye, if you don't already have Martin I think you're nuts passing on him at 490k.
