Sounds like a plan

That didn't last long lol

Just realised I'll need the extra cash to get a prem defender next week, so that means I''ll grab Macrae this week and pass on Danger for the time being

If Josh Kelly continues to gives me trouble I can always turn him into Danger at some point too I guess

I doubt Macrae maintains his current output. He's never been a guy who consistently pumps out 130 scores. Consistency is his trademark and whilst he might be a top 10 mid comes seasons end due to the fact he doesn't play bad games and already has 4 x 120+ scores to hold his average up, I would only be expecting 105-110 from this point onwards - not worth paying top dollar for.

People get sucked in to early season data way too much. How many people even considered picking Macrae at the start of the season coming off a 107 average for example? It's a long season lads, everything will sort itself out and players will slowly start to come back to the mean.

I did. Just picked Crouch over him.

Thanks for the input guys - it certainly isn't easy

I guess it comes down to Danger vs Crouch. Is Danger worth the extra 100k?

I could grab Danger this week, and then look to bring in Macrae after his bye (T.Kelly to Macrae in R13), which is only 5 weeks away, and then I get him during the other byes, and that means I get more Danger before his bye

I guess that makes sense, and as mentioned Sloane, B.Crouch still to return and even CEY is doing really well in there too so maybe I might be best passing on Crouch

Danger this week, then finalise my mids with Kelly to Macrae in R13, and in the meantime I can get my def up to scratch

Sounds like a plan

Can't go wrong with Danger, he's about the only one you can guarantee will be in the top 10.

I'd hardly say you're paying top dollar for him - isn't he only up like 10k from starting price?

And you're just saying all of that because you want him to remain a POD :P

If you bypass Danger then Cripps is a better bet, would put money on Macrae copping a heavy tag this week.

Macrae can't be tagged. His work-rate is second to none. Banfield is one of the form taggers in the AFL and gave Jack very close attention a couple of weeks ago, keeping him to 2 SC late in the first quarter only for him to nearly ton up. No matter how poorly he starts, he works his ass off to get involved and always ends up on a respectable score.

It's a moot point anyway as I would be tagging Bont over Macrae every day of the week.

Can't tag Bont if he's playing forward.

Maybe I should just pass on both Macrae and Danger for now and grab the bargain that is Jelwood?

Ricochet

Have Fyfe, Dusty, Tmitch, Pendles, Conigs and Neale currently.
Leaving two spots for Danger and 1 more.

Llooking at Cripps vs Macrae for Banfield atm.

Leaning towards Cripps

I dunno RD. Danger and Macrae more likely to be top 10 mids.
Jelwoods prone to crap scores and being the obvious tag target as he's way easier to tag than Danger/GAJ.
Much prefer Crouch who'll be around the same price as Joel next week.

Yeah good points, plus he has the crap bye too

I need to decide between Danger and Macrae, and I've only got a couple of hours to do so

I've been set on Macrae all week, and the extra 45k is very useful for next week but I just can't shake that feeling that Danger might explode tonight haha

Thing long think wrong, so I think I'll stick to my initial plan and get Macrae

There's your gut telling you...I'm going Danger because that's been my gut all week...

My gut has been wrong all year though haha so maybe I need to be doing the opposite!
