Using the BEs from Footywire (might not Bev exactly right) none of the cash cows from the start of the year are really ready to be culled yet:

Kelly 39
Finlayson 57
Doedee 17
Murray 54
Naughton 27
Banfield 41
Holman 35
Fritsch -7
Coffield 54
Crowden 28
Henry 27
Garlett 34

But with so many bubble boys next week and the possibility of Danger, M. Crouch, Oliver, Simpson etc. all being under priced, I get the feeling we kind of have to get rid of one early to a Spargo/Ronke/Worpel/Mutch type to maximise cash gen and get an underpriced prem next week.

Am tempted to go Murray to Spargo this week myself.

Next week possibly Holman and Banfield to Danger and Ronke.
I 100% agree and after a bit of deliberation will probably end up with something similar as you.  I want Crouch next week and I also will probably want one of Worpel/Ronke/Mutch/Spargo.

So atm I'm taking Spargo for Murray (via Sicily) this week. If Garlett (M10) stays out I can then use him to DPP forward with Spargo and loophole one of Henry/ZGL.

Anyone going to be able to talk me out of....

Bonner and Walters

To

Macrae and Gray?
Only issue with those trades is you're paying top dollar.
If you're ok with that go for it.

Macrae ave 123 BE 115 playing GCS
Gray ave 117 BE 119 definite keeper

I am happy to pay as you get what you pay for I guess

Cheers

If going for overall, option 3 for me. Murray still has more cash to make and I would cull Banfield first. Option 2 gives you time to choose between Spargo/Mutch/Ronke/Worpel next week so perhaps  you can double down. But in the end it comes down to Cripps/Oliver vs Zerrett/Hurley. Cripps/Oliver for me.

Need a little help here!

Thinking
Banfield > Spargo
Murray > Yeo

Current team before trades is

D: Laird, Simpson, Savage, Finlayson, Doedee, Murray (Mirra, Keefe)
M: Martin, Mitchell, Fyfe, Cripps, Coniglio, Merrett, Kelly, Holman (Banfield, Coffield, Barry)
R: Gawn, Goldstein (Olango)
F: Heeney, McLean, Smith, Billings, Sicily, Fritsch (Guelfi, Henry)

23 trades, $133,600 and ranked around 2k overall

Solid trade. Will you trade holman the following week

Hopefully be able to find the cash to do Holman > Crouch over the next week or 2

Ringo

With Treloar doubtful and playing last game and Buddy may be back next week.

Walters to Heeney
Then one of Coffield, Garlett, Banfield or Holman to Spargo for cash.  Will wait for teams to be announced and then decide which one.
Or Hold for a week and conserve a trade.

Hmmm my trade plans have taken a bit of a turn now that Walters is only going to be out for a few weeks.. I'm seriously tempted to bench both him and Greene, and play the rookies! Fritsch, ZGL and Guelfi leading the way.

To numb the pain a little bit, I want to do what I can to trade in an extra premium mid, which would give me 7 guns plus Tim Kelly. The only problem is the only guy I could trade would be Finlayson.

Would it be worth going Finlayson a little early for a Cripps/Treloar type? Or just trade out one of Walters/Greene to a mid instead?

I'd get rid of Greene - too much uncertainty and not enough reasons to justify holding him

Hmm that might be the smartest option, the Giants aren't giving anything away this year which makes it frustrating...

Current Team:
Def: Laird, Yeo, Lloyd, Finlayson, Doedee, Murray (Mirra, Murphy)
Mid: Martin, Mitchell, Fyfe, Cripps, Oliver, Merrett, T.Kelly, Holman (Banfield, Garlett, Barry)
Ruck: Gawn, Lycett (Olango)
Fwd: Heeney, Acres, Sicily, Walters, Billings, Fisher (Guelfi, Ryan)
8k in Bank

The way I see it I have two choices for my first trade, and a lot for my second. After hearing Walters injury isnt as bad and he could be back in 2-3 Im holding, also holding Billings as I think at his low current price I may as well.

First trade
Murray to Duman/Spargo via Sicily.

Second trade
Holman to JPK/Beams, Howe via Finlayson,
Holman to Spargo (double down) + 357k in bank.
Finlayson to Hurley, Simpson +50k, Howe +100k
Finlayson to McLean (first trade must be Murray to Duman).

So much to play around with considering DPP. Best option? Other options? Currently Murray to Spargo and Holman to Howe my favorite. Only two premium mid spots left and aiming to fill those with Danger and Crouch, tempting as jpk is.

Bluesalltheway

Banfield --> Spargo
Christensen --> Heeney

Will target Crouch and Simpson as my next 2 upgrades

Now that Grundy is playing I'm thinking of bringing him in instead of Treloar.

I’m hoping he struggles a bit with soreness and has an average game so I can pick him up in a few weeks after a price drop.
