Anyone going to be able to talk me out of....

Bonner and Walters

To

Macrae and Gray?

Nope*. The only reason not to get Gray is purely down to the Bye.

Take his expected average and add a rookie score for the Bye.  Also take the expected average of your M8 and add it all together.

*Now ask yourself ... is there another Mid you are missing that when you add to your F6's expected average together gets you more points?

Quoting myself ... apologies. I was on my phone when I had this thought ... now that I'm at my PC I can do the calculations for you for a comparative answer.

Gray is $580k ... so at about the same price or cheaper you can afford players averaging 110-120 e.g. Oliver (110) all the way Cripps (120)  ... and if you believe the likes of Zerret or M.Crouch fall in that score range even save some coin.

I'll start with some assumptions - your M8 is a Holman type averaging about 70 and your F6 is a Fritsch type averaging about 65. I'm assuming R.Gray maintains his average. And finally I am assuming any other upgrade you make between now and then is a null sum equation (though it technically won't be).

R7-10:

110-120 Mid + 65 Fwd = 700-740 points
70 Mid + R.G.*3 + (65 in R10) =  280 + 351 + 65 = 696

While I'm at it lets look at some obvious pros and cons. Mid options for M8 are less of a stress than the carnage occurring at F6 ... however on the flip side if you are stuck with a non-scoring F8 ... you can get possibly loop the better score out of a Fritsch/Guelfi/Henry to game that 65 average.

Hope this was comprehensible lol ... and I didn't make a blatant an oversight  :-[

Ingram

#108
Billings to Heeny
Dunkley to Mclean

Have Walters + Garlett/Holman + 167k to bring Danger in next week and the best of Spargo/Ronke/Mutch.

My Fwd is now Heeney, Mclean, Smith, Sicily, Higgins, Guelfi - Henry/Crowden/Garlett

Certainly comprehensible, calculated, comprehensive  and committed and even considerate however could be considering overall rather than leagues

So if the Gray and The Gimp option wins three weeks of the four then maybe it works better for my purposes

Only issue with those trades is you're paying top dollar.
If you're ok with that go for it.

Ringo

Now that Buddy is confirmed out. Do we trade or keep? Heel injuries can linger and re-occur so think I will trade and bring back in as a correctional trade. Will be trading Buddy via McLean.

Question is which mid to bring in Treloar or Cripps who both bottomed out in the last 2 weeks and are on the rise.

Cripps playing for Blues for the first 6 rounds is averaging 19 contested possessions per game but will this continue. He is averaging 120 which includes 2 92"s but 128 for the last 3. Ownership 34%
Treloar playing for Pies which are the surprise packets with an attacking game plan.  Treloar started with an 87 but next 5 all in excess of 100 with the last 3 averaging 132.  Only 5% ownership.
Only 18k difference in price.
Other possible options Danger and M Crouch but both still falling, Oliver and Merrett. Think that Treloar or Cripps much better options now and leading towards Treloar slightly.

I had to decide on the same - Cripps or Treloar. I've gone with Treloar cus opposition mostly focuses on Sidebum and the change of game plan has every sucker on the ball lol.

GCSkiwi

I might bring in 2 defenders this week, Holman and Henry to Simmo and Hurley via Finlayson and Sicily respectively. Boy that's tempting. Then another double downgrade next week.

Treloar is a good POD option

Treloar is a fantastic option IMO, but I'm sure I saw on Twitter someone say he could be rested this week? Or did that just come out of the rumour mill?

Saw a tweet too. Came from footy classified IIRC.

Sore groin or groins according to gossip mongers but 2 games in 4 days probably something to do with it , would be wary trading him in early with them playing last game.

Well Collingwood posted an article on their website a few hours ago and mentioned his 50th game for the club coming up. Perhaps they wouldn't have done that if the plan was to rest him? If he plays this week he's in for me.
