Wouldn't be bringing in Bailey now, already jumped in price. Would go Worpel early instead, or maybe Duman via DPP. McLean a good pick though.

Currently thinking:

Holman --> Duman (via Finlayson)
Billings --> Walters/Mundy/Gray/Menegola

Def: Laird, Hurley, Savage, Doedee, Murray, Mirra (Duman, Coffield)
Mid: Mitchell, Martin, Fyfe, Cripps, Coniglio, Zerrett, Kelly, Finlayson (Banfield, Crowden, Garlett)
Fwd: Heeney, McLean, Walters/Mundy/Gray/Menegola, Smith, Sicily, Christensen (Fritsch, ZGL)

Figured playing one of Mirra/Duman on the field can't be worse than Holman.

Gotta get rid of Billings.

Not exactly sure what I'll be doing

Bonner, Billings and getting another mid on field are the 3 issues for me

Don't see any forwards I want this week now, as I will wait for Gray to have his bye now in 3 weeks so I think Simmo/Yeo down back or JPK/Zerrett in the mids are the 4 guys I am looking at, and to bring one of them in this week

Just need to figure out how to do it, who to punt etc

Thats actually given me some food for thought RD.

Reckon it could be smarter to go Simpson/Yeo/Witherden and play Crowden instead of Walters/Mundy/Gray/Menegola and play Mirra.

Mongoose528

Billings -> Gray and then one of Armitage -> Zerrett or Goldstein -> Grundy.

Goldstein's very lucky that both Fogarty and Holman did terribly.

Operation JPK Double Trade is in play.

Definitely the obvious pick this week, always a slow starter but you can just about bank a 105 average from here.

Definitely tempting, but the more I think about it the more I think I will pass

I really want to try and get the best mids possible this year, and I don't think JPK will be one

Think I might be better off spending a little more and getting a keeper defender like Simmo or Yeo

Zerrett for approx 50k more I feel might be a better option than JPK

My concern now is to build depth in the mids, I like Zerrett also but the fact he crumbles with a hard tag means JPK gets the nod. Not sure I'm in a position to spend 600k on my midfield now that I'm down to 20 trades. Crouch is another I'll look at once he dips below 500k.

Crouch won't get to 500k, check out his BE and projections - would take another injury for 500k to happen

You raise a good point though, with the amount of carnage I've copped this year it's probably going to be too difficult for me to bring in another 2 600k mids, so perhaps I should grab JPK

I could probably squeeze in Bonner to Ronke/Duman then Holman to JPK

Gets rid of both my R10 bye players too, and then hold Billings another week

I've cooled on trading Billings, the question I have to ask myself is would I rather field a rookie at F5 and the answer is an emphatic no. I think the strategy moving forward will be to somehow get Billings to the bench & try and loop him if & when he strikes form. Gray will come in round 11 so that pushes Billings to F6. Buddy has the 40 in his rolling average so he's another cheap possibility when he returns.

Can i trade my entire team. Don't want another week where I am fielding 10 flowering rookies  :'(

Got just over $200k to spend. Time to get rid of Holman. May downgrade Richards to Duman depending how he goes today (already have Mirra) and then upgrade Holman.

That is on the proviso that Franklin is back which is more hope I believe.

Looking to bring in a premo mid,... thinking out of cripps, bont, jpk, parker or gibbs. Torn between who?

jfitty

I’m not too sure what I’ll do yet..

Have the option to grab JPK, or wait a week and get Matty Crouch. What you boys reckon?

Have gone over JPK's history and he typically starts slow & then comes home strong, I realise it's only 1 match but he was the clear BOG against the Cats. Sydney will also be winning more than losing which should help the cause.

As for Crouch, will look at him closely next week & then make a decision. Both players worthy of consideration.
