Yep, this was my second thought that came to me too late :P far more plausible
Think that is the reason someone released early. Can confirm though that Lions is official McInerney in on bench and Rich in defence with Hodge rested and Bastinac omitted.

Potentially takes Walker's spot up forward, probably doesn't ruck all that much - might just give Stef a chop out now and then. Looks like you're spot on ;)
