Billings to Gray?

Is Billings to Gray worth it?

Normally I'm really happy to go hard with trades on rookies early and hold as much as possible with prems. But I am not sure Billings is gonna be a top 12 fwd at this stage. As well, my fwd line is absolutely rank, with Walters, Dahl, and Billings F1-3.

Gray, Menegola, then even guys like Heeney and Mundy so far looking like locks by end of season. Is it worth pulling the trigger now before Billings goes down - or will he average 90+?

Another factor is there are a few prems to target in coming weeks - Neale, Merrett, Crouch, even Franklin after throwing up 50 last night - so a bit of extra cash could help, too.

If you had the money you should have grabbed Heeney , Gray is good but you have his bye R10 and the ability to throw a 40 or 50 from time to time , what about Greene ?

I haven't been convinced about Heeney. Although evidence is starting to rack up now. We all make mistakes I guess, will target him soon I think.

I'm wary of Greene's tendency to miss games and have some doubt about his consistency. Averaged 96 or something last year though, if I remember. Worth it? Or better to hold Billings?

Hold Billings, at worst he becomes F7 & this year I reckon we'll need depth in the forward line. Grab Gray after his bye, perfect round 11 target.

Heeney has tonned up every week ? pretty convincing as for Billings you would hope the Saints start to change things up and just put him in the mids full time , just go with your gut  ;)

If the trade didn't cost 80k I'd be doing it. If I didn't have other issues to deal with last round I'd have done it then 100% as it was basically a straight swap.
Last week was the time for this trade imo.
Now the cost isn't quite worth it as it's 80k less for upgrades.
