Shaping up as a must have. Potential no. 1 mid.

Not sold on him staying number 1, but I am sold on him being a top mid. Tossed up him vs McLean last week, was more sure McLean would be a top fwd, JMac punished me for it. Grabbing him this week, think it will be too long/potentially never before he goes under 600 again.

But that's a finals kind of trade not round 8. Think it depends on your league position if you need to bring him in now or can do it later.

Excuse me Nige, but did you start him for his breakout season when he lifted his average from 61.3 to 100 in just his second year? What about the following season when he backed it up with another 100 average? Was he your first picked player as a mid/forward last year when everyone thought his teammate Dahl was a better option to start with? Did you endorse picking him in the pre-season this year when nobody else gave him a single mention?

Surprised it's taken this long for him to get any kind of recognition!

He was my first picked fwd last year. Thought seriously about him following Fyfe and Dusty being fwd premos who then moved to the mids and were overlooked by many(Dusty did this last year and also started him) but didn't end up following through and picked Cripps instead. I was of the opinion that Macrae was the Doggie to pick over Dahl,Bont and McLean and wish I'd made room in my team now. As do many others.

Nah, not at all, but Macrae went up 30k, McLean 10, and my cash league opponent had Macrae as loophole captain, and I lost by ~50

That's my thinking too. Is he worth the extra 100k over Crouch, taking into account that money can be used to upgrade for more points elsewhere?

He's out of reach now for those that don't have him. Won't drop in price enough by his bye, so might have to be a late season upgrade
