Ryan to Henry is locked.

2nd trade options:
1. Merrett to Oliver/Macrae
2. Bont to Dusty
3. Brayshaw to Richards via Finlayson
Not clear what Merrett's issue is.   Therefore inclined to keep him longer.
Bont is just being played in a non SC friendly role.  No doubt he will perform a few great games it is just his non performance games have a low floor.   60-70-80 compared to Dusty current level of performance.   So go with 2.
Worsfold said today that he just needs to adjust his game to cope with a tag. So nothing to do with concussions.

He was in the top 3 runners so he’s moving well, just need to learn to deal with the extra attention.

As mentioned in the post above, I might not be able to afford Dusty if he kills it this week and is a great VC option.

Merretts issues are
A.) Teams are tagging more again, the outside side of his game, plus the fact he's clearly Bombers best mid makes him an easy target.
B.) Not good at handling a tag look at his scores end of last year. 95 is a decent score (round2) whilst tagged, but he needs to be scoring 110+ and it was by a first year player.
C.)Clearly affected mentally as well as physically by 2 concussions in 4 weeks. He's obviously worried about getting knocked out again, which is understandable.
Woosha not saying anything about the concussion doesn't mean its not an issue.
If I knew tagging was making a come back after being rare in past few years I never would have picked Zerrett.

Let's just chill a bit here. Really he played 1 bad game. He can't help what happened in round 1 and round 2 he was good in an ordinary team performance.
There's more to it than just being tagged last week. 68% tog is what concerns me and if it's the concussion or another injury he's carrying then I would like to know so I can move him on

Think I'm pretty settled on Gaz > Macrae this week.

Feel like Macrae can easily go 110+ this year. Shown he can score well in heavy losses, plus his bye and POD factor make him a good replacement.

Just need to work out who Ryan goes out for..

Fritsch on the extended bench has meant I've had to come up with a Plan B should he be dropped:

Plan A (Fritsch plays):
Arma --> McLean
Brayshaw --> Crowden

Plan B (Fritsch is dropped):
Arma --> Richards (Murray on field, Finlayson to mids)
Ryan --> Crowden/Henry

That’s the problem, we don’t know. Maybe it’s just a mental thing that he needs to get over with.

Can you do Ryan to Henry/Crowden and Arma to Mclean? Or do you not have enough cash to do the Arma trade?

Not enough, that would've been the ideal scenario :P

Can afford Acres only if I went that route.

RoughRed

Taken a chill pill
Going Ryan => Henry only
Duncan off the bench - playing second game so BE does not worry
Assess and maybe Duncan to Danger next week

Weak backs 3 rooks on field... No cover with Murphy and Keeffe 'resting'

Mids are 'fine' - TMitch, Dusty, Duncan, Fyfe, Gibbs, Cogs, O'Meara, Kelly plus cover

Trying to decide between two options.

1. Lobb > McLean, Ablett > Martin (or any other mid except for Danger).
Would mean I have to play Venaspud on the field.

2. Lobb > McLean, Ryan > Henry via Sicily
Venaspud on the bench, Murray onto the field, but would need to start one of Banfield/Brayshaw/Barry for Ablett

I was going to leave Ryan a week, but now Higgins is dropped and no other fwd rookies coming up, might have to grab Henry/Crowden.
If u can't afford to have Ryan longer term due to lack of cover like me, I would do option 2 and do GAJ > Dusty next week. Murray on the field is a good thing too imo.

Guelfi might be a good option, mature age recruit who's listed as a forward but is a midfielder.

Yeah I agree with the above, too risky having Venables on field, would feel much more comfortable with Murray

Gandalf123

Is gaz to dusty/danger and arma to Richards via Finlayson a good move? Other option is gaz to conigs and arma to petrac/Hogan

kilbluff1985

was only gonna do

ZGL to Crowden

but now thinking of

Murphy to Richards too

don't think Murphy worth keeping
