Should I do Merrett to McLean or hope that Merrett comes good?

Will be a bit of DPP work involved but will mean my mids and forwards are
Mitchell, Dusty, Fyfe, Cripps, Coniglio, Finlayson, Holman, Kelly (Banfield, Brayshaw, Barry)
Heeney, Billings, McLean, Smith, Sicily, Fritsch (Garlett, Venables)

Im a mad saints fan and wish I took Acres to start the year like I was oringally planning (but got scared and took Devon Smith, which isn't too bad) I'll be trying to get Acres in over McLean this week. Offers more than McLean imo.

Looks good but that 144 has inflated his 3 game average a bit. Reckon McLean has more runs on the board, especially taking into consideration his tail end to 2017.

GAJ, Ryan, Arma and Lobb are my main problems

GAJ to Conigs and Ryan to McLean this week is looking likely

Then next week Brayshaw to Higgins (finally get DPP) and either Arma to Macrae or Lobb to Walters/possibly Danger

If Lobb and or Arma miss then I have loophole options to use - not ideal, but at least 22 on field

Pretty the much the best I can do all things considered

Merrett has Ebert this week.
Merrett is my worst pick by far and spewing I missed the lockout to trade to Danger. I really thought tagging was getting less and less common, and was last few years. Now it's back and if I knew that I wouldn't have picked him.
Every side now knows if u tag Zerrett u probably win.
Make the trade.

Merrett and Billings are out for me!

Merrett doesn't look right to me and is set to just bleed cash!
Billings is a flat track bully and with the draw the saints have its red flags for me!

Merrett to Tom Mitchell
Billings to Toby Mclean

Open to peoples opinions on this!

Team will there for be:

DEF: Hurley, Laird, Hibberd, Bonner, Murray, Doedee, (Naughton, Murphy)

MID: Martin, T.Mitchell, Fyfe, Cripps, Coniglio, Kelly, Finlayson, Holman (Banfield, Barry, And. Brayshaw)

RUCK: S.Martin, Gawn (Cameron)

FWD: Franklin, Heeney, Mclean, D.Smith, Ryan, Fritsch (Garlett, Giles-Langdon)

TMitch essential but the Billings trade is a waste. You'd be better off trading Ryan to Crowden.

Good JS given Freo rebuilding, he's actually a mid who's being trialed forward. Think he's a good prospect & has the potential to score well if given time in the middle. DPP also appealing.

Ok so I've got two possible trades that I would do, just wondering if it's worth using up the trades.

Ryan > Crowden for cash grab and injury. Still waiting to see how severe injury is but it doesn't look good.
Brayshaw/Naughton > Richards. Brayshaw not scoring anywhere near we'd like him to, and Naughton looks to be a slow burn. Just tossing up which one will make way for bubble boy Richards, who looks comfortable at AFL level and should pull out at least a 70 most weeks.

Are these trades worth it?

First trade worth it, second trade not so much.

Cheers. Don't wanna be making unnecessary trades at this stage of the game, still a while to go. Will monitor further.

I am thinking to do one of the following to rid myself of Lobb:

1 - Lobb to Richards (via Sicily DPP)
I am assuming Lobb will either be missing/injured or Simpson will be brought in. Feeling more comfortable seeing Sicily at F4 than Lobb, well until Sicily does something else stupid.. Richards looks good and can ride the pine at D7, bringing Murray onto the field to replace Sicily. 2nd trade will then probably be Ryan to Henry. Gives me an additional ~$320K in the bank for future upgrades, and additional rookie making $$ all with little to no loss of points (Murray effectively replaces Lobb on field).

2 - Lobb to Petracca/D Smith
Keeps Sicily in defence at D3 with a straight Lobb upgrade to a potential keeper in Petracca or D Smith. I do not make any money this way, but have a potential keeper added to replace Lobb, with the expected points boost that goes along with it. 2nd trade once again will probably be Ryan to Henry.

Which option would you choose and why? Current Defence and forward line below if it helps

Defence: Laird, Hibberd, Sicily, Bonner, Doedee, Finlayson (Murray, Naughton)
Forward: Walters, McLean, Billings, Lobb, Bundy, Fritsch (Ryan, ZGL)

Thanks

Unless u can afford Heeney I'd be leaning towards option one.
Gets another cash cow making money and cash towards a premium mid.
Back rookies are scoring well so three on field is the go, and fwd line doesn't suffer with Sicily,Bundy F4/5 and only one on field rookie.
Smith and Petracca doing well, but I think the cash made and generated more than makes up for them with option 1.
