I'm a Carlton fan, and love what Fisher has produced in the first couple of weeks.

(For the record: I have Dunkley & Christensen at F5 & F6, respectively).

In terms of Supercoach, Fisher wasn't on my radar until early last week. I was extremely interested to listen to Dermott Brereton on SEN talking about Fisher un-prompted: he said Fisher had the highest footy IQ he's seen in a young player in a long time.

I like Fisher, but this observation pricked my ears: like maybe he's better than I thought he was. If he's available for selection (which is mostly always), he finds his way into our 22... so clearly Bolton sees something in him.

As a result of Brereton's comments I paid particular attention to Fisher's movement against the Gold Coast (both with and without the ball). His ability to read the play to make himself available to receive the ball, his decision-making with ball-in-hand, and his willingness to apply tackling pressure was impressive.

That these acts are now translating into SC points is hugely exciting to me as a Carlton fan.

With Dunkley and Christensen, however, I'm locked into my first choices: I will not be trading Fisher into my team. But if I could do it all over again I'd rank the 200K - 300K players in the following order:

1. Fisher
2. Christensen
3. Dunkley

That's my two-cents worth.

Being a carlton supporter also, I have followed him fairly closely. Was excited when they picked him up as the kid could play, has amazing skills, is quick and makes excellent decisions on the field. Very similar to Simpson with the left boot, his attack on the footy and his footy smarts. As you mentioned, Dermott highlighted this, and he will only get better with more games under his belt! I wouldn't be surprised if he maintains an 80-85 average, which is more than enough to be a stepping stone once the premium forwards have asserted themselves. I'm very tempted to upgrade Garlett to Fisher with the extra cash I will have if I downgrade Crouch to Taranto!

I have the 100k to turn Naughton into him via Sicily. Can then loophole Murray and Murphy this week.

I have a couple of risks/stepping stones in the forward line already but what the hell, add another one!

FWD Billings Smith Melksham, McPherson, Fisher, Fritcsh       Garlett, Ryan

DEF  Yeo, Laird, Hibberd, Sicily, Bonner, Doedee        Murray,Murphy (Finlayson is in the mids for the time being)

After writing it, I'm not sure its a great idea. What do you guys think?
what is your exit strategy/   do not see a lot of gain over naughton
Once I wrote it out I don't think it is worth my 100k and a trade. Need to look towards upgrades not another stepping stone, which I already have a couple of.
Thinking about Hibberd to Clarry for only 67k, putting Finlayson back in defence....

Like the Hibberd to Clarry move.  make the most of the good def rookies.

Yeah definitely leaning that way now.
Wish there were more quality dpps this year for these type of moves. They can be pure gold.

I was about to ask the exact same question Dudge haha

lucky

Even if Fisher manages to average say 70 over the next few games, hed only makes approx 90K, I'm not sure if that justifies a trade.

I don't really want to be side-swapping mid pricers but I have all the rookies I want and out of the rookies I don't being waterman, growes and barry and fogarty (geel)

What do you guys think he's more likely to average? Can he really average 75-85 next few games?

Hogan17

I wouldn't consider this guy when Taranto and Christensen available at similar prices.
