Essendon performed strongly against the crows last week whereas the Dockers were disappointing in only scoring 60 points against the Power.
Will Nat Fyfe lift the dockers to a surprise win at home.  The Dockers have a strong record against the Bombers at home.
Despite this hard to see anything but a bombers win by 20 points.

Anything less than a win is completely unacceptable and a true tragedy. Games like these separate the contenders (who would win convincingly) and the scrub sides (can’t get the W)

We’re better at both ends (even without Ambrose and Gleeson) but will need the midfield to come close to breaking even with Freos, which I’m semi-confident in after how great Heppell, McGrath, Zacka and co. were last Friday despite losing Merrett.

Expecting a bit of a response from us after last week, especially for our first game at Optus.
Also will be great to see Cerra debut.

Worsfold should hand the extended contract back and leave if we can't win this one.

We've been really, really poor in the first 3 quarters. Full credit to freo they have been very good but am expecting an improvement in the last term.

Umps made no difference to the game. Our collective effort, particularly defensively, was horrible tonight.

as a more neutral observer I thought the umpires were a bit inconsistent with the holding the ball ... but in favour of Ess over Freo ... ;)

as well as a few 'tunnels' pushing opponents under the ball and a hands in the back, again in Essendon's favour ...
