Traded Danger to Ablett b4 rnd 1
$119,700 bank
Need 118,700 to go back to Danger
This week trade

Johannisen to Bonner
Naughton to A.McGrath

$ 91,660 left in bank to go Danger back to Ablett pending on price increase/drop
You mean Ablett back to Danger? I'd give Bonner another look. But McGrath is all class can see him pushing 95.
Thanks fixed it

More of a Round 3 trade. If Hibberd has another average week and Simpson goes 90+ again would anyone consider Hibberd to Simpson and bag $28,900 in the process.

Cookie Monster

Giving Fogarty one more week, don't see him staying in the team much longer.

If English has another good week I'll go with him.

I don't think anyone is considering Darcy....

Simply have to sit tight this week, but next week I will probably spend the normal 3-4 straight days analysing what move is best for my supercoach side.

All the years I have played super coach I have listened to the wise heads and waited to trade.
I have always saved trades for Finals.
I have won a few leagues.
Never in sight of the ultimate goal.
I should have listened to the advice I got when I was thirteen.
He who waits gets the soggy biscuit.

It depends, I would only trade in round 1 if I have an LTI or if my team is ranked 100k and I need to change something asap. If your team is fine there is no need to panic trade after one week. At least wait for another round of data

Not worth it for such a paltry sum. Hibberd to Shaw on the other hand...................

It certainly helps. Come round 18-19 and you only have 1-2 trades left, gotta look back at all the wasted ones made early.

The more you save, the more you'll have when you really need them.

You need a hell of a lot of luck to win the 50k, but I'd suggest not burning through your trades too early is a step in the right direction

Miss Pies

I'm hangin' to see how many of my rookies are getting another game in round 2. Don't wanna trade any out just yet cus of a low score if they have JS. May take a little longer to come to fruition but I'd rather that than donuts not making any money at all just cus they smashed out a good round 1 then not named. X fingers

When I started this thread I wasn't expecting so many amazing comments or incredible suggestions, but they came. Thank you. But what is puzzling me is the amount of coaches that are considering trading on " one round wonders ". There are 23 rounds before one lucky coach   ( and it cannot be done without Luck )  picks up $50,000  and thinks " how the flower did I do that ".  It's amazing to be top scorers early, generally by starting with a stacked midfield, but generally speaking, these coaches have trouble finishing their sides early and get passed around bye time. I'm not really up on stats, and most of these comments come from memory and some even on dumb opinion but has anybody ever been near the lead all the way through the season and won SC ?? So even with what I consider as four sound rules I still suck at, but love, Supercoach. These are them :-

1.       Rd 1 trades - - -  only for LTI's  or if you already have 2 necessary trades for Rd.2
2.       Rd.2 trades         LTI's or correctional trades
3.       Rd.3 trades         Anything that becomes totally necessary that was missed in the above
4.       Rd.4 trades         Sit and do sweet eff all unless the universe, as we know it, blows up around you.

Had my worst year ever last season so hope these totally unprofound words bring a chuckle or two,   cheers and best of luck  Sabre.

I know the golden rule after round 1 is do not trade unless it’s LTI but I’m thinking ahead...

Is it worth grabbing English as F8 at the expense of Ryan as a correctional trade? Have Langdon as my other FWD on bench. How is Ryan’s JS? Even if he’s named tomorrow how do we know that will last till round 3 or beyond? Don’t want another Pickett.. On the other hand, English looks pretty good to me and I think should be safe if he’s playing like he is.

Then, after round 2, get Bonner if he kills it again or scores relatively well. Problem is I only have $40k so Naughton to him without even doing the English trade isn’t enough. That’s where Brayshaw comes in...if it’s another average game, Fogarty comes in and the cash can be used to get Bonner for Naughton.

P.s the English trade is just a correction trade so it’s more of a cash generation trade, has DPP and make cash quicker hence upgrade to a premo faster.

Thoughts?
