Honestly thought that one of the differences in the second half was dixon playing more of the ruck and thats against a team with one of the worst ruck set ups this year, i have a feeling hes gonna need to play the majority in there if he can in upcoming games which hurts the fwd line

What do you guys think about the small forward line approach? Personally i love it Boak looked a superstar forward, wingard, gray, watts, gray, rocky, motlop i think that could trouble every backline :P

No idea what the go is here, surely as the season goes on he will play more midfield. Hopefully we are just easing him into the season :) Last thing we (and he) wants is to get an injury so early in the season. No way a player like him will be kept out of the midfield for the whole season.

From an AFL Fantasy perspective just imagine if he get fwd status in Round 6 after scoring 30-50 for 5 weeks. Price drops to $400k and then he goes into the midfield and we pick him up post-bye! That would be a dream come true.


However it wouldn't surprise me if he plays bulk midfield this week against the Lions as well, just because it's his old team.

Whats Pear fans thoughts on Hoff? Obviously rucking mainly at the moment, but with Watts and Motlop into the fwd line plus Boak spending a heap more time there and Rocky there for portions, has this freed up Hoff to do that horrendously slutty utility/wing role that he did a few years back?

When we signed Ryder I thought he’d play that role and average 140 SC (Maybe a slight exaggeration). Then we signed Dixon and I was more confident. Now we have Watts too so yes surely he plays the best role a footballer can have “do whatever the flower you want out there” :D

Would be interested to hear what was inappropriate. What the media labels inappropriate these days can sometimes be far from. Aside from that it's obviously disappointing he was there outside what the team allows.

Aside from that, Had Port in the top 4 this year and they aren't disappointing. Good win over Sydney particularly. I don't rate Sydney that well, but everyone else does so solid win. Got over the line with the Lions too. Will be interested to see them come against some better sides in the coming weeks.

Didn't get to see much today, what happened? Saw in the paper that Docklands is by far our worst ground to play on, all our 100+ against games seem to be there (To be fair Docklands does average more points per game than other grounds).


Onto Geelong next week who will be tough. Wonder if Marshall's injury is bad enough to not play next week, might see Frampton finally get a game.
