How Jones didn't get weeks for punching Zerrett in the head amazes me.

Zerrett has a black eye and cannot open his eye properly from the incident.

Confuses me that Howe gets 2 weeks for punching Cripps in the head (which was warranted), yet Jones gets a fine for the same action. Why was Jones' strike classified as "misconduct"? I just assumed I was missing something because of my bias towards Hawthorn ;)

Edit: Just re-read the Howe report - "Ordinarily it would have been a low impact (grading)," Christian said. "But as a consequence of a potential to cause a more serious injury, we've upgraded it to medium impact."

Obviously there was no chance that Jones' strike could have caused a more serious injury :P

Patrick Cripps cleared contact DSwallow. Swallow attempts to take possession. Cripps comes to side, wraps his right arm around Swallow and tries to knock the ball with left hand. The momentum of both players sees them go to ground. Match Review said it was not a dangerous tackle.

Watching it again I think I agree, especially considering the damage it appears to have done to Brayshaw.

Confirmed broken jaw, off to hospital straight away. High, intentional severe impact. 6+ weeks

7 games garuntees he doesn't play GF. 6 games means he misses if they win in week one. That'll be interesting.

Seems really out of character for Gaff, I don’t think I’ve ever seen him even push a player in anger or frustration before ???
