Sadly, the Mitchell incident is not comparable.

Mitchell's hit on Goldstein was judged to have had negligible impact, which is not a chargeable offence under the rules. However the AFL decided to fine him under 'misconduct', which is a loophole the AFL decide to use when they want to fine someone for an incident they believe is a 'bad look'.

I feel for all those people who potentially have lost thousands on brownlow betting because of the MRP lotto.

Same thing happened last year with Dangerfield.

Yep and one wonders about the MRP - Greenwood got up and played on Fyfe  1 week Christensen knocked out Simpkin 0 weeks.
Nic Nat got a week for less as well starting to wonder there is an interstate bias on the MRP. 
Both should have got at least a week in my opinion.
