OK some interesting decisions for those just handed down:

Jeremy Cameron can accept $2000 sanction, kneeing W Schofield.
Patrick Cripps can accept $1000, careless contact with umpire E Glouftsis.
Ed Curnow referred directly Tribunal, intentional contact umpire NWilliamson.
Jed Lamb can accept $1500, misconduct against MBaguley.
Charlie Curnow referred directly Tribunal, intentional contact umpire MStevic
Jade Gresham can accept $1000, careless contact umpire JMollison.
Jack Steven/Bailey Banfield can each accept $1000 for wrestling each other.
Jack Ziebell can accept 1 game, kneeing R Conca.
Jarrad Waite can accept $2000 sanction, striking J Higgins.
Taylor Adams can accept $1500 sanction, misconduct against J Parsons
Elliot Yeo cleared contact DShiel. Before the pair go to ground, Yeo releases his left arm from the tackle and braces for contact with the ground. It was the view the tackle was not careless and not unreasonable in the circumstances.
Nat Fyfe cleared contact SRoss. Contact made by Fyfe's shoulder to Ross' upper chest. It was the view Fyfe executed the bump with contact to the body & could not have reasonably foreseen a clash of heads between the players. Fyfe's conduct was not unreasonable in circumstances.
Luke McDonald cleared contact KLambert. Lambert reaches for the ball as he goes to ground, while McDonald puts down two hands towards the ball as he turns side-on. McDonald was seeking to contest the ball and had no realistic alternative way to contest the ball.

Gee this contact with umpire is getting muddy so we now have careless contact v Intentional contact one with a fine and one directly to tribunal.
Think the AFL needs to review the one man MRP at seasons end. Think we are seeing more inconsistencies now than previous in my opinion.

Nige

Steven May found not guilty of intentional contact with an umpire.

I like it.

Has he let any1 off who deserved to be suspended? That would be the sort of inconstant behaviour I would judge as a failed system

Otherwise, for me, it's for 1 person to pass things on to a real tribunal, than a bunch of muppets making decisions that make our blood boil only for it be get appealed and decided by said tribunal anyway (who also make people's blood boil :P ).

Yes he has, which is why the new system has been a failure. Sandilands bump on Lyons, Burton bump on Higgins, Mitchell hit on Goldstein & Zurhaar pushing Mirra into the fence should have all got weeks.

So Charlie Curnow just got cleared

I can't understand how Hawkins gets a week but he doesn't

Ed in hearing now

Also May down to unintentional with a fine. So hard to decipher now what is intentional v careless contact.

Big Mac

Would love to hear Chris Scott's thoughts

Ringo

and now Ed Curnow cleared

AFL Tribunal: Ed Curnow found not guilty of intentional Umpire contact, he is available to play in Round 9
