In the whole scheme of things Nic Nat having a week off not too bad from a WCE perspective.

Got to be the worst suspension I have seen in a very long time. Horrible decision.

Belegur

Is this seriously what its come too? Does anyone on here believe he should be suspended for that? What else can he do? And what rule has he broken?

Port giving evidence that amon had delayed concussion is absolute bs, they let him continue to run around out there. Just reeks of sour grapes from the finals loss last year.

'The AFL's legal counsel, Jeff Gleeson, accepted there was no malice in Naitanui's tackle, but argued that the Eagle, at 110kg, hadn't exercise his duty of care to a player he outweighed by about 30kg.'

Since when arent big guys allowed to use their weight in the contest? Didnt know players needed to do a quick p=mv  before laying a tackle.

Michael Christian said on AFL.com this was the easiest decision hes made for the year. What?? Absolute clusterflower giving one man power over the whole system. Only upside is they didnt make Robert Walls the guys..

I almost guarantee that if it was Duckwood, he would've been let off.

I almost guarantee that if it was Duckwood a Vic based player fair tackle, he would've been let off.

I'd still love for someone to explain to me what wasn't fair about the tackle according to the rule book.  Go one someone...

Or he could’ve asked Amon if it’s ok to tackle him. How careless of him  ;D

I’m on your side of the fence in this whole argument but anyone who thinks the clubs medical staff fabricate the truth these days, is delusional!

Maybe, maybe not. I certainly dont believe that all club doctors are completely unbiased in their actions, they are part of the club like anyone else, im not saying they would fabricate medical information, but their tonality in a tribunal meeting could be altered. Let me ask you this, if the AFL were asking Port the same questions about the concussion and why he was allowed to continue to run around out there, would the doctor be equally as strong about the severity of the concussion? Or do you think he might just temper his answer a tad.

Doctors have no place at a tribunal hearing, its a collision sport. When ever they started basing suspensions on the injury and not the action it was a mistake.

Simmo comments on the AFL website are pretty bang on today - 'Maybe-its-just-a-nic-rule-simmo-confused'
Glad he brought up the fact the Christian's behavior before the hearing was not on, and potentially influenced the result.

MATT CROUCH can also accept 1 sanction ($1500) against Sam Powell-Pepper for wrestling.
