How the hell does he decide that the tackle is careless, medium impact and high contact?

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't think a tackle could be medium impact LOL

High contact? Where?

Free kick for in the back is fine, but how did it get to a suspension?

Video for those who want to see

Not being condescending ... just my style of writing when dealing with a litigious process
  :-[

What was the action in question that lead to the review?

Key quotes:

" ... grabbing him and driving him into the ground with excessive force"

"This clearly comes under the category of a dangerous tackle"

Conduct = Dangerous tackle.

"Once the conduct is determined then it's a level of impact"

Not quoted but obvious from the footage, his head hits the ground = High contact.

What was the impact to the head?

Impact = Medium " ... consistent with the medical report ..."

When asked "What was Nicks alternative ...", the answer was " ... try and role him and come down at the same time ... "

My conclusion:

By not showing a "duty of care": High Contact, though medium in impact, resulted from a Dangerous Tackle.

As for Careless ... that's a bit more subjective IMO ... but we can all agree that he didn't Intentionally try and impact the head ... and for me a Wreckless tackle is one that has a high probability of causing head trauma which (unlike a sling tackle) you'll be hard press to find many examples of with an "in the back" tackle.

So it basically resulted from "excessive force" ... with takes us back to square one.

As a side note ... we basically have a situation where "bigger blokes" like NN have a duty of care when their mass exceeds that of their opponent e.g. when landing on them ... but their height allows them to get away with being "clumsy" i.e. Grundy, Nank and Sandi  ::)

Think NN should get off but Amon was concussed and is in doubt this week , that won't help.

They've already announced a challenge, will happen tonight at the tribunal.

W.C. Senior Council cannot travel to Melbourne tonight so they've been granted an extension.  Nervous wait continue's for owners.

Port bias, and i have NicNat in AF. Nic wen't in with the attitude to ( either show his team mates, coaches, crowd ), " let's go", but he wen't in to hurt ,and that's the 1 game suspension. In saying that, that's how footballers are taught from a young age. I realise i'm gonna get smashed, but that tackle could of been done differently

So, more time for Danger up forward :-\

This  >:(

Maybe Gazza goes FWD?? the cats already killed Gaz in the midfield, so he could relieve Danger
Possibly, but everything we've seen in the media has been GAJ pushing to play 100% midfield.

Nic Nat rubbed out
Big score coming for Lycett vs GWS.
How I wish I'd stuck to my guns and picked him over Spudstein.
He's averaging 80 for 270k. Goldspud 86 for 520k. He's made 150k. Goldspud down 90k.

RaisyDaisy

Really disappointed that he copped a week for that when so many other things worse get cleared

Silver lining my cash league opponent has him, but as a WCE fan I'm disappointed

Thank flower GWS have rubbish rucks, although our mids won't be getting as much silver service  :'(
