Hard to separate these 2 teams. If both Ablett and Danger play scales tilt Geelongs way and if they do not then more even keel.

The Demons need to beat the Cats to show that they will be genuine title contenders this year. The Demons inevitably will get first use of the ball with the form Gawn is in and this may assist them to overcome the Cats.

I'm desperate for this game to start, I'm hoping  it will finally get me over round 23.

Very interesting calls at selection table, with Brayshaw and Tyson left out. Brayshaw had his wisdom teeth removed, which might explain his omission somewhat. But Wagner over Tyson? In terms of like for like, I think Maynard got the nod over Tyson, which was something I was calling for at the end of last season. But, Tyson is still probably best 22, so I found that interesting.

Have no idea with this one, with both have a few important players out. Leaning towards Geelong

AFL advises Mark O’Connor (ankle) has withdrawn from the Geelong Cats’ team for rd1 v Melbourne at MCG tomorrow. Jordan Murdoch comes into the 22. Jackson Thurlow added to the emergency players.

Taking Petracca out for Heeney not off to a fantastic start. Hibberd needs a lift too.

Fritsch's first mark and goal were absolutely fantastic!
