He's been a lock all preseason for me at F5, but some doubt is just starting to creep in. Obviously going to take a while to get going after a season and a bit out of the game, but looked really overweight and slow playing JLT, and I'm wondering if someone the likes of Stephenson would be better at F5. What are people's thoughts on him?

Bully

Stephenson ok at F6 but I'd be reluctant to start him at F5. After watching JLT I scrounged enough cash to push Bundy up to Cyril.

Cyril sounds pretty risky to me, as his hammy (and now his knee) could give way at any moment, but he is perfectly suited to Supercoach with all the little things he does, so I can see the merit in his selection. Do you think there are any other players around his price that are worth a look?

At a similar price i'd prefer Tom Bell over Christensen from what I saw in JLT 2 but I'm heading down the path of rookies at F5 and F6.

Yeah, I was going to go down that path too, but lack of forward rookies makes me wonder. Reckon Fritsch, Ryan, Garlett and Giles-Langdon are the only rookies likely to keep a spot in their teams. I think I've been trying to squeeze as much as I can out of the defensive rookies, as they seem the strongest this season. If Bell gets named, then maybe I'd go him. Thanks for the insight.

Think you have to take the view that Cyril will miss games, just have to hope he puts on 150k before injury hits. Have monitored Hawks training and all reports have been glowing.

The other advantage with Cyril is that one can easily trade down if Bell, Christenson etc. burst out of the blocks.

That view definitely makes sense, only issue is if Cyril gets injured before he makes enough cash. He does offer good flexibility though as you said. I reckon I'm leaning towards him at this point, thanks for the advice.

Cooled on Bundy think Bell will score better as for Cyril 29 this year , the Hawks are not a force anymore , a much reduced preseason , those hammy's ....... pass

I've been on and off Bundy all preseason, but he's in for me at the moment at F5.

I don't expect him to set the house on fire with scoring, but his JS obviously makes him a worthy pick, as long as he can stay healthy.

I really don't rate the forward rookies at all, but him at F5 and one of Fritsch/Venables/ZGL occupying F6 isn't so bad.

Tempted to drop him down to Rayner, but Bundy has scored will in the past so will roll the dice and see. Worst case he can be downgraded to a rookie if one of them bursts out of the blocks that I don't have.

Agree on the forward rookies. Not much to get excited about this year as far as they go. Bundy should be in the team all season long, and we just have to hope that he keeps making cash. It's a real headache trying to decide whether to leave him in or not. Don't think Rayner has a huge tank, so he'll be spending a fair bit of time on the flanks, which turns me off him. Be nice to have a crystal ball at the moment, wouldn't it?

Ringo

I have Bundy at F5 and he is staying there unless he really puts in some stinkers, Will be happy with 60s and 70s for the first few weeks as he regains match fitness,  Will Fritsxh, langdon, Venables and co score better than that is highly doubtful.  Bundy has the JS as well given he is in the leadership group.

Although his JLT scores were low bear in mind it was his first hit out for 18 months the encouraging signs especially in the wet in JLT that he was not being hindered by injury.

Caution for those wanting to get on the Bell bandwagon remember Beams did not play in either JLT so he comes in and may effect Bells score. Bell imo is also a bad game away from being dropped especially with the talent waiting in the wings.

So in summary for Bundy expect him to start slow but really build and maybe get back to 2015 form. If he gets to 85+ will be a keeper at F6/7

Bully

Change in body shape is the real concern, hard to see him pumping out midfield numbers.

Money Shot

He is one of the only players that hasn't left my team all preseason.

may start slow but he is a lock in the 22 so that job security makes it worth it for me.

He will also have games where he goes 80+ and that should help keep the cash rising.

Ringo

Was an early photo hah.  Has lost a bit of that already. Fair enough not back to his previous body shape though.

Anyone thinking of Dunkley indtead of Bundy?
