Anyone considering this at the moment?

Given confirmation of naughton murray and doedee and more than likely Finlayson and potentially coffield as well I thought it would be interesting getting a gauge who is thinking of starting 4 on field ?

I'm sticking with 3 on field

One of these guys could get injured or dropped, so I'd like to have one of them at D7 just for cover

Will probably use D8 to loophole 2 of them each week where I can too

I'd love to. If one of the four was a Bonner/Ellis/Byrne priced player would be better but no-one including thise 3 have much if any better JS than a rookie. If they had solid JS I would go one plus 5 rookies.
So having if was going 6 rookies in total I'd want at least 7-8 to choose from so that if one or more is dropped/injured it's an easy correction trade.
Not sure we'll get that many. Plus I like the idea of playing one of Coffield/Finlayson in the mids for flexibility/cover/trading options.
Tempting as hell but maybe a little too risky.

I'm thinking 5 on field is the way to go. The big lad from Brisbane will allow us to do this.

Also for those who have Sicily fwd and Keefe down back, if he's not named then that's even more risk as only one on the bench as cover. Would allow looping rookie scores tho.

I believe he's referring to Jack Payne ;)

As  my team sits at this moment I have 4 on field rookies in defense. Keefe at d8 Sicily forwArd and 44k in the bank so that if O’Shea is named I will pick him instead of keefe.

The only way I go down this path is if coffield is named. If he isn’t named round 1 it’s abort abort abort.

If he is named ... there are still cheap players that are around that I could jump ship to in a crisis. Byrne Cole hibberd Oshea ...

It’s not beyond me to go this way this year I feel.

I'm trying to go with 5 rookies in the backs, if all these rookies that have been spoken about are named I'm doing and and stacking the forwards and mids.
At the end of the day its far easier trying to generate money to pick up backs than 650k uber premos which is why I'm starting with Danger, Kelly, martin, Mouch and libba, NO FYFE!!!!!

5 on field rookies? Wow.

Yeah I had Hartlett as a POD at D4 for a while, have gone off the idea to give me 3 rooks on field, not sure I would feel comfortable with 4 on field in SC

AF maybe as you could generate the $$ quicker and have the trades to burn if it goes sideways.

Currently toying around with having 4 on field defensive rookies. Defs allows me to load up elsewhere. Only way i see it really working is by having a mid/def player in the mids and having keeffe down back with sicily up forward. Its kinda like an insurance thing i guess. Atm, I've got Laird, Savage, Coffield, Naughton, Murray, Finlayson with Keeffe and Doedee on the bench. Got Sicily up front. Just trying to find a reasonable def/mid rookie to chuck in the mids. Risky business  :o

Sticking with 3 as cant see myself starting 4 in SC. Like the idea, just don’t have the balls to do it.

The only question I have with his approach is who do you have on the bench?

Assuming from D3-D6 it's Coffield, Naughton, Murray and Finlayson, who joins Doedee on the pine?

Stoddart might play a game or two before McVeigh comes back, Keefe is iffy, am I missing someone in the mix?

I have 4 rooks on field at moment, and bench is Doedee and Keefe (for DPP with Sicily). Other options are Murphy or possibly Paine?
