Hearing Nic Nat's a solid chance for R1. Anyone reckon he's got a 95 average in him with no preseason behind him? Clearly the Eagles' most valuable player, I think they'll feel inclined to get him in as quickly as possible. Do people know anything more about his R1 chances?

I'm so tempted by him, but just can't bring myself to start with a guy that's missed so much footy..

Having said that, his draw is pretty nice:

Swans (no ruckman basically)
Bulldogs (Roughead)
Geelong (Smith)
Suns (Witts)

Then he's got Kreuzer and Sandi. But not a bad starting month for a ruckman.

Maybe Lycett to start with could be an option, and trade to nicnat once he gets going?

Sweet. Fogarty has real iffy security and could be an inconsistent scorer but good news nonetheless.

Hmmm...not sure I trust Fogarty's security.  Would he go straight back out for Tex or someone else?

Yep, should be a straight swap for Tex. Think we're just giving Fog a taste for now and keeping Tex away from the hard deck at Etihad, while keeping him safe for R2 v Richmond.

Can't play all of Tex, Jenkins, Gov, Lynch, and Fog up forward, and the only one of those I can see coming out for Fog would be Jenkins but Josh will obviously be preferred for now, but if his bad form from the GF & JLT continues though, I could see that change being made.

Thoughts on Otten as a starting pick this season?

Harry McKay is apparently not playing. That would mean Carlton is going with the three talls. Levi, Curnow and Silvagni. Not sure who Mullett is in for. The only person I can think of is Byrne but I think Byrne outplayed him.
