At Collingwood's press conference Buckley confirmed that Stephenson and Murray would play this weekend against Hawthorn.

There's another of pair of planned rookies locked in.
Murray looks good Stephenson will be handy if you only have 180K to fill a position but I'm trying to avoid expensive rookies

I like Stephenson but agree, at 180k he isbt secure enough, or have good enough job security for me. Guys like Brayshaw, Naughton better expebsive rookies abd Ive gone a few exfra dollars for Christensen forward.

Not sure he plays, I think we would've announced him along with Fog and Doedee if he was, but even if he does, I probably wouldn't pick him with Knight 3-4 weeks away, may only get a couple price rises out him, if he lasts that long.

Darcy Parish in doubt, needs to train and pull up well

Parish will play. ""Darcy's scan was clear, he trained fully today and he'll be available for the game," Physical Performance Manager Justin Crow said on the SKINS Injury Update."

David Myers (calf tightness) and Ben McNiece (hamstring irritation) won't be playing though. Patrick Ambrose will also miss about a month (fractured wrist, had surgery today), so we'll be pretty tight for backmen for round one - Jordan Ridley a slight chance of playing, but Mitch Brown is probably ahead of him for a spot.

Doedee and Fogarty confirmed
Sweet. Fogarty has real iffy security and could be an inconsistent scorer but good news nonetheless.

Hmmm...not sure I trust Fogarty's security.  Would he go straight back out for Tex or someone else?

RaisyDaisy

Yeah I'm not touching Fogarty

JS will be iffy, and I don't think he will score well

Needed 3 goals to score 87, and I can't see him doing that too regularly

A quiet game and Tex ready to come back could be big trouble and a straight swap.

GAJ will be playing fwd this year.

Yep, should be a straight swap for Tex. Think we're just giving Fog a taste for now and keeping Tex away from the hard deck at Etihad, while keeping him safe for R2 v Richmond.

Can't play all of Tex, Jenkins, Gov, Lynch, and Fog up forward, and the only one of those I can see coming out for Fog would be Jenkins but Josh will obviously be preferred for now, but if his bad form from the GF & JLT continues though, I could see that change being made.

With Lobbe gone to Carlton there is a vacancy for the most overpaid SANFL player. Maybe JJ is eyeing that off?
